Well since I'm new to the game and don't know much. I have decided to talk about something very important.. Notre Dame in college football. As many of us know they are going to the National Championship, and that's some B.S. They are a great team especially this year there is absolutely no doubt about it. The issue is who have they played, and are those teams even good.
We should start with who they have beat. 1st was the no doubt great win over Navy 50-10 not much to say about it good win, but then again is Navy big deal. Their next win was Purdue, a narrow home victory. 20-17 Notre Dame with the home field advantage squeezing out a win against a not very good Boiler Maker team.
Next was a Michigan State team that was ranked high at first. A 20-3 win that asks the question now of, why can you only score 20 against a team that finished 6-6. Inconsistent is not what the best teams in the nation are and as of now it looks like Notre Dame is very inconsistent.
Then Michigan is next. The Wolverines managed to keep Notre Dame very close by just barely losing 13-6. Michigan is much better than Michigan State overall, but still was just 8-4 ranked 19 at this point. Once again to be redundant, why can't Notre Dame score points against descent teams.
Breaking the "curse" of not scoring a lot comes Notre Dame's next game. Miami (Fl) 41-3 great game but shows that they are truly inconsistent. Miami being 7-5 a descent record and a good program.
Stanford was a great win and Stanford is a great team, but they won in OT. Yes a win is a win but of course in football 1 play easily could of changed the game making Notre Dame the loser. Another thing too is with "high powered" offenses in today's game, why did it take their offense more than 4 quarters to score 20 points?
BYU is up next just barely winning 17-14. BYU as most people know are not good, not at all. There are worse teams but BYU finished 7-5 being an independent team is not that good. So congrats back at not even reaching 20 against a bad team.
Oklahoma, was a huge game and the best excuse to put them in the National Championship. It is the only absolute showing of if Notre Dame is good or not. This game proved they deserved to be ranked pretty high no doubt. 30-13 win nothing I can say about it.
Then almost blowing it proving they don't have what it takes is Pittsburgh. A triple overtime win and they only scored 29. They easily could of lost and made so many mistakes they should of lost, and did not deserve to win. Pittsburgh being a 5-6 team, they couldn't pull it off.
I'll sum the next 2 games up in a few words. They played crap teams and won, big deal.
Then played an unranked 7-4 team (at the time) it was away fro Notre Dame which was big but there are Notre Dame fans everywhere so hard to call games true away games for them. 22-13 win over a team with a red shirt freshman quarter back and couldn't even score 24.
That sums up the number 1 ranked college football team in America. I hope that it convinces you that they should not be. They have a chance to shut me up but in the National Championship they will play Alabama or Georgia in the National Championship. This spells disaster for Notre Dame, complete disaster.

could use the same agruement against the AFA, uninformed voters voted ND #1, uninformed players make AFA #1. As PP of a small party, I am not suppose to pach players from other parties, but the AFA is fair game, that should tell you something. Your PP had the WE The People party taken from him just a few months ago, that is another strong message.

Never understood why Americans have such a complicated system for college "American Football". Why not put the universities in divisions based on the region they are and then champions play against each other.
Although the game is fun, I never understood why you call it Football either.
It started out regionally, then TV money got involved and a corrupt system evolved, a mean a very shady big business with alumni throwing big bucks at very good athletes (rhymes with elites) that are really still children in a lot of ways and so on
