In this article, we will have a look at the press system in eRepublik from a reader's point of view.

Newspapers are an important part of our eLife, they are the only way can get information about what is going on around us, and for many, a privileged way to communicate with others.

When you log in, news is automatically displayed at the bottom of your home page. It is sorted in three categories : the first, is top rated, which lists the most popular articles published locally recently, the second is where you will find the latest news and the third, international contains all the most popular recent articles published in the world at large.

What does it mean that an article is popular? Well, it means that it has received a large amount of votes. When you read an article you like, you can vote for by clicking vote in the blue box next to the article title. The number above it is the amount of votes already received by the article. Another way to show your appreciation or to let the author know you disagree with his views, is to leave a comment.

Once you have clicked on an article, you can subscribe by clicking the subscribe button,. You will then receive the latest releases of the magazine in your new events inbox.

When you click on a newspaper, as opposed to clicking on the name of an article, you will see a list of all articles published.

There is another useful technique to know. If you want to see news from other countries, whether latest or top rated or even the latest world wide news, you navigate to the Community Tab, News and then select the filters you want.

If you select events, you have a detailed view of laws in voting and wars world wide.

Finally, your country national forums can be a good place to get information.
