I'm impressed Addy, an MDP in my day wouldnt of even had a second thought in voting for the sponsored candidate.

On the 8 Tenets of the Military Dictatorship Party...
1. Voices are only meant to be heard when asked to speak and know what they are talking about
I knew what I was talking about, MDP has problems. I drew attention to them, significant attention to them. Even induced Rylde to do some campaigning and show up on election day. Even got Mitos to release a leadership statement that aligned highly with mine. Almost carbon copy actually, but Mitos wanted to keep the apron strings tied to the Coalition. I overestimated the unrest in the party, but I accurately assessed the schism. Now it's time for me to prove my integrity, and be patient, and wait for the MDP to call on me, or tell me to GTFO.
2. Leadership is pre-ordained and not open to democratic vote.
The pre-ordained leadership is weak, like the outgoing leadership of the party. Mitos has a lot of work to do, and he has my support as a drone of the MDP.
3. Failure in leadership will lead to swift punishment from the military council.
An active and relevant Military Council will improve the party's probability for success.
4. Congressman will operate upon the direction of the Party Dictator when ordered.
I hope they operate with more compliance than the drones have in this election.
5. Taxes will be used to fund the nation’s military units to help them achieve maximum efficiency through programs aimed at both the MU and its members
Not sure if anyone has noticed, but daily tax revenues have dropped since the tax hike to 20%. Higher tax rates do not equal higher tax revenues. Higher tax revenues translate into maximum MU programs.
6. Quarter will be neither asked for or given.
Quarter means "favour" or "help" or "relief" or "service" or "aid". I could have asked a lot of people for votes this election, but I didn't. I was asked many times how much I'd pay in cc or gold for a vote, and I said no. I believe in this tenent more than all others. This defines the character of MDP. Self-reliant, steadfast, assertive, a can-do approach. If I bought the Dictatorship with quarter, no good would have come from it. I'd rather lose with integrity than win with the support of a coalition of people who can be bought.
7. Financial security and protection of the nations funds is priority one in governance.
MDP compromises this with its association with certain citizens.
8. Actively pursue aggressive military campaigns in accordance with #7.
Bring on Spain. It's a war game, let's play.
Denouement
I'm disappointed but I'm also satisfied. Although I will not get a chance to shape MDP into the foe I respected, I did induce changes and activity within the party toward my goals for eCanada.

Well run campaign which bore fruit: congrats and good luck to ecanada and the MDP.
You had Mary running off to a Norsefire Chapter for a little contingency.
Regardless, the MDP will be run by an outsider either way.

"I will not get a chance to shape MDP into the foe I respected" a chance will come with patience. Know when to speak and when to hold your your tongue.
@Funky: Prophet of Mitos/Venerable bleeds MDP. Simon and I saw that of him before we endorsed him. If you wish to go back further into our roots, then MDP has been "run by an outsider" for far longer according to the first written document which states that The Three dictators are John Cleese, Rylde, and Powerown64, and no one else.
I am not Mitos, but his Prophet.
For the rest, only time will tell.
No wonder then the MDP only did anything when Rylde was around.

When Wally was elected CP, he was presented the opportunity to steal from the treasury, but of course I wouldn't approve of him to do so. Did my association with Wally prevent a theft? Or is Wally not a thief as Rolo was?

Wally stole it in the truest sense of the word, he did not have the role-play authority to remove those funds and he did with his in-game authority.
Faking a theft doesn't seem a good 'priority one in governance' to tout as support of your values.
The MDP is a shell of it's former self. "Prophets", "Coalitions", Tenets? Yuck.
My Faith has nothing to do with MDP.
