[WYD] Addy Lawrence for PP of India United (Day 1881)
Addy Lawrence
Forward...
The Party President elections are in two days and I would very much like to lead India United through the next political cycle. Here is my campaign proposal.
On my goals for India United...
First, I want to grow the membership. Shocky did a great job two terms ago and nearly pushed the party to first place. Party membership has flagged the past month and has dropped to 52 members. My target is to grow to at least 60 by February 14 or Valentine's day.
Second, I want to hold the executive of the country accountable. Through party articles and congress votes, India United will challenge the Executive Branch of government to keep eIndia informed. All I read in the media and comments and pms and threads are blame games regarding eCroatia and who NE'd who first and how neutral eIndia is despite an obvious and blatently biased behaviour toward CoT. Silence breeds fear, information breeds confidence. My India United will ensure that the Executive Branch of government provides the nation the information that it needs to maintain confidence in the government.
Third, as PP of India United and a sitting congressmen as well, I will champion the dedication of eIndia into full membership of CoT. eIndia will be wiped if it remains neutral. It cannot return to EDEN and membership in TWO would provide little benefit and much more increased risk. Remaining neutral leaves the country too vulnerable as a myriad of MPP conflicts emerge trying to make individual friends. CoT is the best solution for eIndia. We are already behaving like a CoT member, let's not pretend we aren't and get fully into bed with the other members of the alliance.
Lastly, I want to increase the influence that India United has in congress. We earned 10 seats last month, I am targetting at least 11 seats this month.
On IRC activity...
I promise to be more active on IRC, regardless if I am elected or not.
Denouement
These are tumultuous times. There have been a lot of divisive issues in eIndia over the past two months. It is time to come together in a united eIndia and under my leadership, India United will lead this charge.
Party membership, executive accountability, dedication to CoT, and congress influence are the goals. I invite you to support me on January 15 in the pursuit and acheivement of these goals.

article after a long time.........
Plugson;
Nice to hear from you, glad you are still subscribed to my paper, I enjoy yours immensely.
There is a military strategy advocated by the hardcore that armies who fight abroad must burn their boats once they arrive at their destination. This reinforces the thought that you cannot go back and that you must dedicate yourself to succeeding in the task that lies ahead. We will burn the boat that was EDEN and neutrality and plunge head-first into CoT under my watch.
"We will burn the boat that was EDEN and neutrality and plunge head-first into CoT under my watch"
Written like a hardcore Captain ; )
Looks like we'll be fighting on opposite sides of the wall for sure this time. Doesn't look like Asgard will be leaning much toward CoT or TWO.

good luck
Best of luck! o7
"CoT is the best solution for eIndia. We are already behaving like a CoT member, let's not pretend we aren't and get fully into bed with the other members of the alliance."
Don't mistake popular belief for good policy.
Good Luck.
Are you for real Addy? I guess, well I knew, well I heard from UA members including you, that UA 'll always be loyal to Eden...
Best of luck Addy!
Addy is very active through politics and engages the memership.... I have no doubt that he will do his best to achieve all his goals he's set out in this article.

all the best mate
The EDEN boat has burned from within and will sink soon out of it's own accord, it needs no help. It ill actually happen against the wishes of some of it's opponent, who would prefer this rothen corpse of an alliance to continue to exist.
However there is basic contradiction in your expose. First you criticize the government for being pro-CoT biased, then declare how you'll be Pro-CoT biased. Hence the natural conclusion that it is your wish to replace the government rather then to change anything in the country. Is that so and how do you reconcile that contradiction?
My second question is what prompted the sudden change, does it have anything to do with the flight of Argentina from EDEN?
I think you need to adress both as well as where your loyalties lie if you wish to lead India as you have stated. To be honest one article is not enough to change ones positioning on the political spectrum especially after having been a champion for a diametrically opposite cause for so long.
eRichard Parker, eborn in January of 2013, how can you speak of "diametrically opposite for so long"? Which citizen account were you in a prior life?
Read my article carefully. I criticize the government for claiming neutrality and behaving in a pro-CoT fashion, ie saying one thing and behaving differently. I recommend aligning the two and going a step further, full membership in CoT.
You are putting words in my mouth. I have not been a champion for a diametrically opposite cause for so long, perhaps you confuse me with some of my colleagues.
I have been a champion for being a good ally, for participating in the role play of the alliance eIndia joins, for signing MPPs with the member nations of the alliance. We did not do that well when we were in EDEN, or GEA.
If you go through my history on the EDEN issue, I am not one of those who unconditionally support membership in EDEN regardless of the circumstances. I also clearly state that eIndia was not a good member of EDEN, we did not sign many MPPs and we weren't active in the role play of the alliance. I found the exit from EDEN to be abrupt and with temper when other possible solutions within EDEN existed, but all of this is irrelevant. Actions were taken to eliminate EDEN as an option for eIndia. This does not hurt my feelings as I do not have EDEN written on my underwear.
My loyalty lies with my citizenship and that is eIndia. eIndia as a neutral country and no alliance membership is simply too vulnerable and a fail strategy. eIndia needs the protection of an alliance and CoT fits the bill better than TWO because eIndia simply has nothing to offer TWO and has no prospects of protection from TWO.
@addy
Who I'm is no secret, I haven't tried to keep it a secret ever. I left the game a few months back and have came back now and playing a different character (it's called in-character playing), still I cannot erase the history of the game I know.
It is diametrically opposing to criticize the government for tasking a PRO-Cot stance yet to advocate yourself for the same.
By the way you do know me, we've had dealings in the past as CPs of our respective countries, still what I chalanged you to say was clearly state where your future loaylties will be as EDEN has admitedly been a part of them in the past.
I do not fully agree that India necessarily needs to throw itself heads over heals into any alliance for the sake of it, however at this point CoT probably is the best choice. Still as a foreigner I feel I do not have the right to advocate for it.
In any case I believe that the most important for India now is to make a baby boom and to secure it's future for posterity. Gaining the ability to be fully independent, because no matter what we speak here, a small country will almost always be to some degree the victim of the bigger countries interests and India has a strategic place on the map.
"Who I'm is no secret, I haven't tried to keep it a secret ever."
And yet you don't stipulate in our comment when I ask you directly. Share with the class, which citizens have you been in prior elives?
"It is diametrically opposing to criticize the government for tasking a PRO-Cot stance yet to advocate yourself for the same."
Again, you put words in my mouth. I criticize the government for stating they are neutral and behaving like pro-COT. I advocate for full membership in CoT, both in action and in the spoken word. I am not advocating for what the sitting government is saying (neutral) nor what the sitting government is doing (pro-Cot), I am advocating for full membership in CoT.
"I do not fully agree that India necessarily needs to throw itself heads over heals into any alliance for the sake of it, however at this point CoT probably is the best choice"
If you don't agree, don't vote me for PP of India United OR seek out a party that better aligns with your opinions.
"...the most important for India now is to make a baby boom and to secure it's future for posterity."
Baby booms are the proverbial holy grail of all countries but they are improbable and impractical to plan around. My PP platform focuses on what is within my sphere of influence, not what is within my sphere of imagination and hope.
Support Sir! Voted!
Good luck

Now intentionally or not you're trying to fool people. India was neutral after leaving EDEN (well GEA). The curent president has stated from the start that he will pursue a PRO-CoT stance, which has been the result of Croatian agression.
Some of us dare to dream and more importantly are ready to put in the effort to realize the dream, no only to piggy back on others dreams.
India is small it needs a BB, this is not as if Serbia was trying to make a BB. Obviously a BB is not good for everyone, but hey to everyone his own.
@Addy, xordin (current CP) has indeed quoted that we are officially pro-Cot in his first address. the link is here: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-president-s-desk-update-and-cabinet-2189113/1/20
I think you missed that one.
Otherwise good campaign..good luck
