The Five Sierras meander like small waves, the summits of Wumeng pour on the plain like balls of clay. Cliffs under clouds are warm and washed below by the River Gold Sand. Iron chains are cold, reaching over the Tatu River. The far snows of Minshan only make us happy and when the army pushes through...

Hello there WTP,
Seems we’re back at it again, aren’t we? After I had to jump ship midway through Talos Term One, I’ve personally had little involvement in WeThePeople. With some new MU experiences in hand, that’ll be fixing itself this month.
As Mazz explained in her very well written article, I’m coming on as a Co-CoS for WTP. Part of my job entails giving you an update of Leadership goings ons and whatnot.
So, lets get to not having me devoured by this month’s punishment pet, shall we?
Don’t do your work in WTP? Prepare to get brutally penetrated by this thing
Going back to our old-school populist roots, WTP Leadership has started up a...referendum? Yeah, we’re back at those again. This “reff” concerns the running of 6th parties in eAmerica.
For some background, only the Top 5 parties can run Congressmen. It was tradition, though, to partner up with a 6th party to run one of their people for Congress. If the 6th could bring the votes to get a congressman, the T5 would take him/her on their ballot. Some time ago that began to change.
Sixth’s in eAmerica are not what they used to be, by many accounts. The current way Congress elections are ran also hurts the cause of running 6ths. Now, 6ths aren’t fully accountable to have their people elected because there’s only one ballot; Not 51.
That being said, the sixths and their people are still there. They have votes, leadership and talent. So the question asked is...do you think it’s still practical to run 6ths with this system? Or, should we have a straight WTP ballot?
Personally, I’m against the running of 6ths. WTP has one of the strongest Congress delegations in the Country atm (Save that Hale guy who just f**ks around). The talent-vote tradeoff that is offered from running a 6th just doesn’t seem worth it.

Every party likes newbs. If Erep is a severly impaled man, newbs are the IVs and blood-packs that keep him alive. Without their new thoughts and energy, this game would become much, much more boring.
Here in WeThePeople, we’ve managed to take that “liking” of newbs into loving, largely thanks to our quality Mentoring Program.
WTP Mentoring was started under Mazzy Cat’s...2nd, term? Former WTPer Hawkie devised it with help from another old member, av khan. While many edits have come and gone, the program remains as helpful as ever to our newbs.
Today the program enters a new phase of its progression. Newbs in any game, even one as simple as Erep, generally ignore messages and the like. They focus most of their patience on trying to understand the game. We know this is ultimately bad for retention. In an effort to work within this paradigm, WeThePeople is going to implement mandatory mentoring.
Until our new friends say they don’t need it, the 5 day program is now going to be given to all newbs who join WTP.
Every T5 will tell you they like the newbs. WeThePeople?
We like them too…. just, through a complex gdoc-PM delivery system, 3-5 hard-working international staff, intensive background training and long hours of work all wrapped into a package known as “consistent activity”
And that, my friends, is the difference.

Another great venture the staff here at WTP HQ have been launching is of the more...technical, nature. Part of being a populist party is that we don’t require forum usage for you to vote. We make voting as easy as possible while retaining maximum safety.
This is done through the “WTP Whitelist”, a part of the Census. Thanks to hard work from the Census Department and Mike Ontry’s most excellent tools, we maintain a whitelist of everyone in the party who is allowed to vote. We record their MU, TP, age in the party...etc.
In the past, this process was often long and gruelling. The inputting of new members into the waiting list and inputting of former members onto the leaving list...not something that was fun to do in a rush, for sure. However, the workers always grinned and bared it; This was the cost of letting WTPers participate in our eDemocracy, and we were more than happy to pay it.
Thankfully, after a new revolutionary tool by Mike Ontry came to existence, the inning and outting process will become easier than ever. You sometimes hear a very tired Tanishq working overtime to get the Census in? Or, that the election dates were pushed back a few hours because something had to be done?
Well, that’s going to be largely a thing of the past. This tool will auto-enter much of the required data for the inning and outing process, making for a faster, more efficient eDemocracy. And most importantly; We'll be getting a much less tired Census Department.
Thanks to Mike Ontry for making the tool. You never disappoint mate. Also a shoutout to Concept. He showed me the full potential of this tool via his wizard-like Excel abilities.

That is near all that I have to give of the present, WTPers. There's still one last thing I need to impart though. Bear with me here; This may take awhile.
During Talos' terms WTP made great strides in the realms of National Work. We fulfilled one of the key roles of every T5 party; We acted as an active hub that encouraged and raised national talent. As shown by the party loyalties of the NSC Director, Secretary of Defense and Secretary of Education, this role has been fulfilled very well.
On top of that, Talos put forward our name stronger than ever before in helping our nation with the ATO. Then more than ever WTP was involved in the common struggle against the TWO Nemesis at home. He lead the party through unfavorable decisions that were ultimately to our benefit, such as a reworking of the Congress deal with VMA-214. On top of that, he provided support to WTP’s first PoTUS, Oblige. That’s something more than I can attest to.
Despite these gains, there has been a subtle decline in the internal efficiency and effectiveness of the party. Yes, the nation itself has been in decline. But in our home especially, the internal workings were not settled as well as they should be.
These are testing times, WTP. We are closer than ever to cutting off the Serbian menace once and for all. We are faced with the restlessness that comes with talk of new, major political followings.
I enjoy change. I enjoy testing times, troubling times and times of downfall. Because throughout all of that change, uncertainty and movement, there is a constant that remains;
Our Cause is Just and our Victory is Assured.
WTP was the opposition. We aimed to provide involvement, activity and awareness for all eAmericans. We aimed to become a standing T5, one which was known throughout eAmerica for the efficiency it brings. Above all, our goal was to eventually throw off the current order of eAmerican political culture.
We aimed for #1.
We must be #1.
We will be #1
This isn’t out of malice or hate towards the Federalists. Nor is it out of a feeling of superiority towards the other Top 5 parties; That’s something which I’ve always advocated against.
This is out of responsibility. By being #1, you are telling your community that you are willing to take your values in force, become a hub of life, of activity and talent to feed our 51 pixels. The #1 position is a testament to the extents you are willing to work to to achieve your goals.
It may not be under this term. Hell, it may not be under next. But at the end of the day, our key goal is clear; We must become #1. We will displace the Federalists, USWP, AMP and whoever else may lie ahead. All this comes not out of malice to them. But, out of our wanting of the responsibility that #1 brings.
We want these reins on our back and dammit we will get them.
No matter how much progress we make or don’t make, keep that in mind WTP. Games have goals. Ours, is #1.
