[WRP] Running for PP

I'm writing this article to announce I'm running for Party President of the WRP


This is an exciting month for the WRP party, at the time of writing just moving in to the top 5.

So I'm just going to sum up the things i'd like to do as PP if elected.



Forums

I'd like us to have our own sub section in the forums. The forum can be an excellent addition to the game, and i'd like to see us make use of it. Even if it is just to outline policy or give people a chance to see what has been talked about on irc. It's also a good place to record all previous congress members, newspaper artciles, WRP pictures etc.

I highlight addition, as we believe in playing the game on eRepublik and that's what we'd continue to do as much as possible



Review and Improve

I'd like to get feedback from the whole party on a number of issues. I will find out what party members think of party avatars. Is there many who would like a border to go with their picture for example?

Also, i will look at the situation with the 'Free British Irregulars' (the MU tied to the WRP). I'm not promising anything will be changed as we may already have the set up available but i will find out if there is any change that can be made that would benefit both.



Activity

Following on from this, probably the most important thing this month i see, is to maximise activity. In regards to the issues above, these are the types of things i'd PM the whole party about. To get feedback from and try to involve as much as the party as possible. I'd also like to message every member about whether they wish to run for congress. This was a system that worked very well in The (old) UKPP because it encouraged people to ask how they could get elected.

Possibly, another way of making the WRP more active and publicised would be to publish games or even something as simple as a raffle in the media for the members of eUK to take part in.



Policy

Policies is not something that is clear when joining the WRP. Which is why i will publish an article sometime during the month that focused solely on the policies which our members stand for. Hopefully a forum section could maximise contribution to our policies



Congress

Currently, it's the 6th of May, and I am not too sure about whether we will be in the top 5 or not come congress elections. But 'FightAndProduce' raised a unique idea of running all smaller parties under WRP. Now, i will be honest and say this is something i will probably not do. Looking at the smaller parties, i'd be happy to talk with all of them, but probably PCP is the party i'd actively try and get to run with us realistically.

We also believe in giving everyone a chance, so we will always aim to get at least one new player into congress (providing they are willing to learn about their role in congress)



CP Elections

I am sure this will be very similar for each candidate, but im very much in favour of giving the candidate with the most support from our members our 'official' support.



Newspaper Drive

At the WRP, we do not like to use the voters club to promote our party. Which is why i would like message all of the party to find members who have newspapers. Then i would message all of those interested again with a list of newspapers to subscribe to. This is a small thing to encourage members to take part in the media. It may even encourage a few to start a newspaper which we at the WRP would continue to fund.



Last thing to do is wish good luck to the other capable members who have put themselves forward as candidates and a link to their articles
