[WRP] - A view from Parliament - Issue 3

Day 1,838, 05:29 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Huey George

Preamble

Relatively quick on the heels of "A view from Parliament - Issue 2" Here is Issue 3. This is to enable you as my constituents to guide and inform my vote on a recently raised law proposal.

Law proposals

Two law proposals to update you on, firstly one completed vote;

Canada has been proposed as Natural Enemy.

I voted NO as I did not believe declaring Canada a Natural Enemy at this time would benefit the UK additionally before I voted it was rumored that the Member of Congress(Parliament) proposed this law in error.

This vote was ultimately rejected by 4 YES votes to 30 NO votes.

There is one outstanding law proposal pending;

President of United Kingdom proposed a mutual protection pact with Brazil

I plan to vote YES in the next 10 hours. This is because I believe Brazil would to be a good ally thus a mutual protection pact with them makes sense due to their strength in the new world founded upon their large numbers of citizens. As a bonus it would also allow the citizens of UK to directly support them in their war efforts without moving however please let me know your views on the law proposal. You can comment or send me a personal message.

Currently the vote stands (05.27 Day 1,838 of the New World);
8 YES votes and 0 NO votes in the UK
5 YES votes and 2 NO votes in Brazil
