[WRP] - A view from Parliament - Issue 21

Day 1,972, 10:02 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Huey George

Introduction

We find ourselves with the hands of our enemies at our throat...

However don't lose heart our allies Poland are coming to help! Let's hope for a successful joint campaign against Agrentina and Ireland.

Asking questions of the Government when our country is conquered is only natural however these questions must stimulate debate and be beneficial in informing the public. The Government in response needs to be open and honest and rise to the challenge in an appropriated way. In all cases we must remember Argentina and Ireland are our enemies and to be respectful to each other...we all want a free United Kingdom.

On to the latest version of "A view from Parliament" 4 MPP law proposals to up date you my constituents on, one minimum wage law proposal and one presidential impeachment law proposal. Finally I'll also inform you my constituents about two UK citizenship requests I granted approval to.

Law proposals

Completed law proposal are;

MPP

President of United Kingdom proposed a mutual protection pact with Latvia

I voted YES. Fellow TWO member and important friendly ally. Our respective citizenship have a proven history of supporting each other in times of conflict.

The vote ended;
37 YES votes to 0 NO votes in the UK
32 YES votes to 2 NO votes in Latvia

MPP

President of Peru proposed a mutual protection pact with United Kingdom

I voted YES. A CoT alliance member. The support of Peru's fine citizenship in the coming month could be vital. Very pleased we've signed a MPP with them. Our soldiers in return will be able to support Peru when required.

The vote ended;
37 YES votes to 0 NO votes in the UK
31 YES votes to 1 NO votes in Peru

Minimum wage

Minimum wage change from 0.1 GBP to 666 GBP

I voted NO. A fine dream and ambition to aim for...More for the hard worker. However not practical at this time as it'd cause more harm than good for my constituents.

The vote ended;
5 YES votes to 32 NO votes

MPP

President of United Kingdom proposed a mutual protection pact with Chile

I voted YES. Like Peru, a fellow CoT member and staunch, stoic and vital ally. Again like Latvia, our respective citizenship have a proven history of supporting each other in times of conflict.

The vote ended;
35 YES votes to 1 NO votes in the UK
35 YES votes to 0 NO votes in Chile

MPP

President of United Kingdom proposed a mutual protection pact with Bulgaria

I voted YES. Another fellow CoT member and loyal, dependable and long-term ally. Bulgaria and the UK have a history of friendship.

The vote ended;
35 YES votes to 1 NO votes in the UK
33 YES votes to 1 NO votes in Bulgaria

Law proposal voting yet to close

President Impeachment
Do you want the current president of United Kingdom to end this office?
Jimbojoy

I voted NO. I'd only vote to impeach our democratically elected country president on grounds of gross incompetence, corruption, inactivity or strong will of the people. None of these claims can be leveled against Jimbojoy in my opinion.

The current vote stands (as of 09:07 Day 1,972 of the new world);
7 YES votes to 26 NO votes

Citizenship Request Approvals

Finally I've decided to approve two Citizenship requests using 2 of my 4 citizenship passes.

Qaise and Igor Pankry

My reason for granting these citizens UK citizenship are, firstly new official citizenship procedures are still development so I feel as a member of Congress it falls to me and my fellow members of Congress to use own judgement in the meantime.

Specifically on each citizen;

Igor Pankry is a stand-up guy, I have no doubt this returning former UK citizen will prove a fantastic addition to the eUK community once again so in that regard I'm happy to vouch for him. I hope he finds enough in the eUK once again to encourage a long stay.

Qaise, is a little bit more of a gamble. Qaise stated a strong desire to start a new elife in the eUK and with a large amount of past damage for our allies Poland and Lithuania, it's my hope Qaise will generate large amount of damage for the eUK and her allies against our enemies.

Closing thoughts

The Workers' Rights Party members have the chance to vote for our next party president tomorrow.

It's a choice between Saarbell and FightAndProduce. I wish both candidates the best of luck tomorrow. Whoever wins I'm sure the WRP will be under fine stewardship. I personally will be casting my vote for FightAndProduce based on his activity for the WRP and the Government and his experience.
