Well if Emerick had the chance to not have to retreat : P. Display bugs happen, but its good to point them out. But is it that necessary, we retreated the battle so this would have happened anyway. So arnt you basically arguing that 4 minutes be dropped off the battle for indiana.

@Publius - up to now decesion where taken based on the time shown in game. So if they stick to this then the battle of Indiana should be closed.

Imagine you login into ER and you see Columbia attacking you and you want to attack Russia ..what do you do
a)Retreat from the columbian war and then attack Russia
b)Attack Russia even though you know it's not possible 🙂

Assuming that b is the option you would take after that you would just retreat from New Mexico because ? ..
a)you are good friend with Admins and you do not want Zoli to open an open letter 🙂--does not care
b)Peace will start invading top 5 article with complaints -more fun 🙂
c)because you can -not as fun as a or b 🙂

Nice try, Zoli. The attack button does not appear if you are blocked. And the move Emerick made was perfectly legal under the game rules - less than six hours = ok to retreat, and he still had initiative against Russia. Oops. Colombia is free to attack, as it still has initiative against the US.

zoli - you know that after a retreat it takes 4 minutes until the region is pass to the new owner.
but the atack start instantly.
so that the retreat is latest than the atack.

The retreat takes 4 minutes until the region change the owner (the mesage is something like: Ocupation is iminent...)
So. In latest will be apear like that
00.00.01 US atack region Y
00.04.00 US lost region X

When romania was on road to kartanak we retreat from a region where we losing before the battle end in a region were we winning. but becouse the 4 minuntes the retreat end after the battle were we win and for that we dont manage to take the initiative

i'm pretty sure it just took time for the battle to show up as retreated. during the 5 minute lapse, the battle was closed, and said something about the region being overrun and the president of US had retreated, though there was no "taken by columbia" flag, gold collected, etc.

flik is right : there are some transactions running on the database ,the DB needs to be updated ..when the update is finished the message is displayed .
It just takes loger to update the data when a battle is finished then when a new battle starts .

And it is not a bug 🙂..you cannot display the message when the action begins ..you display the message when the action is finished 🙂
That was the problem with the retreat button ..people where pushing the button but not getting the new actions available to them instantly .Better a message displayed later then not having the attack button ..Don't you think? 🙂

So at that time the president of romania retreat from Shanxi just before the and of Sindh but because those 4 minutes the retreat finished after 4 minutes and we lost the chance to take initiative.

eh...let me introduce you the game mechanics, Zoli..

Each region after conquered takes exactly 5 minutes to appear in the latest events and the swapping of territory executes.

So if it writes retreat at 23:15 it happened at 23:10 in fact.

The region was under "transfer" as I wrote above: it takes 5 minutes every time but it was no more under attack so USA was free to attack.

Lets say there is a bug and it isn't that the timestamp is off. 4 mins wouldn't change the outcome of this battle. QQ it's over for peace.
