[WHPR] Cuddly Pink Hugs, and Ponies!

Day 1,492, 14:46 Published in USA USA by James S. Brady Press Room

Greetings America!

Another White House Press Release for you. Today, we check in with the Department of the Interior. No, they don’t pick out the curtains in the White House... They’re in charge of all the Domestic Programs, like everyone’s favorite, Bewbs 4 Newbs.
The Pony Express is back in business as well!
And lastly, staff writer Cody Caine, has an editorial piece about the goal of media in government.

But first, our top story:

Our staff writer kooguy, sat down with the Secretary of the Interior, Dr. jerseygirldani to talk about her department:

How have things been going this month?
Great! We have some new staff and some new programs as well! Molly Emma has been helping out with Bewbs 4 Newbs (B4N) during my move/new job/lack of internet access, and she's been doing a fantastic job - way better than I ever did! We also have the Civilian MU started under GoalieBCSC's presidency last month, which rainy sunday has been supplying daily with noms and guns. And I can't forget Kodos, who has Meals on Wheels (MoW) down to a science! I'm so lucky to have such a great group of people working with me this month when things have been a bit hectic for me IRL.

What has been working well?
Um... everything, of course! The Department of Interior (DoI) is a well-oiled machine with some really fantastic players who are really dedicated to newbs. You'll hear no complaints from me.

What has been the main focus of the department this month?
Same as every other month... taking care of the new/less active players!

What are the best ways for the average citizen to help you out?
Hmm. Tough question. We're always accepting donations of extra food/weapons/foreign currency/USD/gold/anything anyone wants to donate! So if you have any extra stuff laying around, feel free to send it my way! I know that the "average citizen" doesn't exactly have lots of excess supplies laying around, so for you guys, feel free to use the DoI programs to help you advance in your gameplay. Take advantage of our free supplies given by the different programs! http://tinyurl.com/MoW2011 and http://tinyurl.com/b4nerep are easy ways to get free food daily 🙂

Is there anything you'd like to say to the readers?
Cuddly pink hugs to everyone who has supported the DoI in recent months! Keep an eye out, we're making some changes!

You heard it here first folks, if you send jerseygirl you’re extra USD, she’ll send you a Cuddly Pink Hug.

The Pony Express is back! Much thanks to President Oblige for helping the Department of Media get this vital organization back.

For those that don’t know, the purpose of the Pony Express is to condense the US Media, into an easy to follow format. This allows us to promote new writers, so that they can start to get their subscription base formed. It also allows us to display particularly excellent guides and tutorials, so that our new citizens can find their way in this world. And, it is also just a great place to promote truly brilliant pieces of work.

If you have something, that you think is worthy of being in the Pony Express, then send a PM directly to the Pony Express
All decisions on publication are at the discretion of myself and my staff, but we certainly want to hear from you, if you think you’ve written, or stumbled upon something truly delicious... LET US KNOW!

“All American’s need to give it their all against Poland! We are going up against a much stronger foe, and we need all hands on deck if we are going to be victorious! Go fight! Use Ultra Tanks! Use Bazookas! Use Energy Bars! But make sure that we win this war!"

Be sure to read, comment and subscribe to President Oblige's newspaper, The Savior.

And lastly, we have an editorial piece from White House Staff Writer, Cody Caine:

The goal of media in government

The goal of media in government starts with informing the people of recent events, and accomplishments of the government. Though in an honest society, the media is responsible to report the flaws and mistakes of government as well. This responsibility is highlighting the success of women and men in government but as with the government itself, the media must call attention to those who abuse power or do unfavorable things.
However honesty seems to have taken a back seat in society these days, replaced instead by ego and the need to be amused. So in this media world where votes and subscribers sometimes mean more than context, it is not easy to get important things to the people, White House Press Releases go unseen my some, DoD orders unnoticed, but all the while a rage article might get a lot of attention. However difficult the media challenge is at a time, the media department of any government must continue to function, even try things such as radio if that helps get news to the people, offer grab bag competitions to increase public interest, and perhaps someday videos will be produced to get news out. As for this press corps writer I feel that for our groups time writing we just want to leave you wanting to come back and read more, and perhaps leave you with your mind blown 😉.
