What the _____ happened to eEire?

Day 1,706, 10:28 Published in Ireland Ireland by Damhnaic

(First of all, before you all get touchy, it is not VERY bad)

Oyez Oyez Comrades of eEire! The Black Pigeon is back into service after such a long time! (Even if, probably, none of you lads and lasses remembers it...) With such a comeback I wish to bring back some critical thinking on the political scene.

Now lets get serious.

I come back to find what? To find this country disorganized, only the shadow of what it once was. eEire was, back in my time, known for its high minimum wage which made it an ideal destination for many young workers. We were also renowned for our well-organized state-controlled companies which offered work to younger eIrishmen and afterward gave the food to the poor. Now, only ashes of what once was.

On the political scene, I find today the politicians controlled by the super-alliances, orienting their decisions on what would please or displease them.

And worse, on the media scene, I find the political, philosophical and artistic articles replaced by posts filled with pictures of half-naked women and articles begging for despicable methods to increase our population (eTurkish babyboom).

Who is I to make such critics?

I was last seen in the eWorld during WW4, when I was Ambassador for Patton's government in eFrance. Back then, we had many debate over the political situation of our beloved country. Since immortal ages, eIreland had been a neutral country, taking no side with either of the super powerful imperialist alliances. We were then asked to join F/E (Fortis/Eden) and we refused. I was later told, when I was no longer active in the eWorld, that eIreland had joined Eden, and then I was ashamed. Why? Because we always stood high as a respected neutral country, defender of the poor and protector of the innocents. I remember eTurkey attack on eGreece back then. eGreece was one of the last neutral eNation with eIreland and we had a strong friendship. eGreece was almost razed to the ground, but the international community decided to help them, seeing how this neutral Nation was only victim to eTurkey imperialist desires.

Being neutral doesn't mean we have to sit in our corner, waiting to be attacked, it just means we don't get involved in wars that do not concern us in first place. We still had a few squads, leaving for war in other countries, they were brave men and women fighting for the country they wanted, for the ideals and values they wished. Every individual was free to fight for whom he wanted, but the national politics remained independent and neutral. The country was, thus, never considered a threat and remained in peace.

I know such neutrality is not possible anymore, the war mechanics having change drastically, but I do wish for a more independent political involvement, without being slave to the superpowers.

This is why I run for Congress; I want to bring back what Ireland was known for. A healthy active casual community based on respectful and independent politics, a better organized economy for the poor and the young and, finally, a healthy social involvement via critical articles, philosophical questioning and artistic work.
