Day 499, 17:35 Published in Canada Canada by Writers' Guild of Canada

Round 2 is complete and we're 6000 words closer to throwing some gold around and crowning a champion of the WGC Canada Prize Tournament. We're now entering the point of the tournament where all of the media heavyweights will be participating, and it's time to see how the little guys who have done the hard work to get past the first two rounds will stack up.

Bruck, Vincent Chaotic, Derek Harland, TylErection, William Duncan, Clancy Forrest, Zanalan, Kelly Mahoney, Alias Vision, Dutchy, Dominik, and Marcchelala all won their Round 2 matches and are moving on. Unfortunately, Canada's Media-Moguls-by-purchase, 1ronman and Joey Phillips, failed to put forward an article and defend their position at the top of the subs list. However, the tournament has seen some incredible progress by hitherto unknown journalists, among them Dutchy and Clancy Forrest, who challenge Dade Pendwyn and William Duncan, respectively, in the following round.

Here's what Round 3 will look like

----April 3----
Banach vs Bruck
- Canada's top paper by legit subs against Canada's PM...need I say more?
Dade Pendwyn vs Dutchy – Pendwyn is the voice of a generation, but Dutchy is one of the tournaments suprises…Can he pull off another upset?
Sensible Voices vs TylErection – SV is an established member of the media and WGC, but TylErection is another one of the surprises the tournament has harbored.
Augustus Baldwin vs Zanalan – This one is too epic not to watch – there’s no love lost between these competitors

----April 4----
Vincent Chaotic vs Derek Harland – Both these competitors are young up and comers in the world of journalism, and are both known for consistent and thorough articles
William Duncan vs Clancy Forrest – If Dade is the Media Boomer, and Gofarman/Roy Munson the Political Boomers, WD is the Military Boomer. Clancy is an upstart journalist and should make this match a great one.
Kelly Mahoney vs Alias Vision – Socially active Kelly Mahoney is a well known name, while AV is a quality over quantity member of the WGC – this is one to watch.
Dominik vs Marcchelala – Dominik is another well-known name of the tournament who’ll be going up against bilingual heavyweight Marcchelala.
