First, congratulations to the UKRP/ESO dream ticket on winning last month's Presidential Election and becoming Prime Minister Appleface and DPM Mckaybee. While neither of you are Talon, I hope to enjoy working with yous just as much.
It's been a quiet month for legislation - and it was always going to be in a war on so many fronts. The priority for all UK congress members is to keep our e-nation safe from trolls and foreign invaders who could pose a threat to our security. This means letting our Citizenship minister, God-Emperor Iain Keers, vet all the proposals and not just let people pay you to approve CS requests *COUGH*UKPP*COUGH. If trouble gets in & gets elected as a single congressman (not impossible!) their friends can quickly drain gold and money from the country's accounts.
To keep things cushti for things like the National Health Service & supplies for the British resistance, Parliament has to approve donating tax revenues every so often. Thanks to everyone who helped get my first proposal through Congress and into law

Other than that, renewing and approving Protection Pacts with pro-ONE and ONE nations, which allow UK soldiers to fight abroad and vice versa. Montenegro, New Zealand, Egypt, and Indonesia were the last few to get approved.

* Iain's knowledge is valuable, no one disputes that. But surely seeking his advice if unsure rather then allowing him veto is a better way forward, and will ease the burden from his shoulders? Plus he aint even eUK at the moment.

on 2) having received a couple of messages offering gold for CS, as have other congress members, and then seeing those cits approved by piotreqs or Sir Nick, it can't take too much of a leap to suggest they'll have received the gold for doing so? With the API down there's no way to prove it afaik so i must apologize if the slander is unfounded, but there's no way to prove it hasn't happened either.
On 1),
I trust the judgement of a player active in alliance politics for years, more than my own ~5 months. If I see someone I know from the saner parts of Ireland, Sweden, or pro-ONE countries, then I'd consider overruling his caution.
This is the stance that my former UKAP colleage eLiam takes for instance. I happen to think he gets it wrong sometimes and we'll be lucky if nothing happens, but maybe nothing will happen & we can all just get on with playing & enjoying the game.
