[VP Scenario #4] Gary Hubert's Response

Day 1,556, 14:09 Published in Canada Canada by Gary Hubert

Greetings eCanada!

This is my fourth article for Kronos’ Presidential Scenarios in which myself, JohnSmith 2k9, Andrew McKenzie Caine, and George Beeman are participating. When I first read Kronos’ article explaining the program, I was immediately interested. As I explained to Kronos, my inspiration is to jump in when opportunities arise so that I can gather knowledge, skills, and experience. This is one of those opportunities.

The fourth scenario is about how we would prepare, as a VP, for an absence of the CP for a trip that lasts 4 days. Basically, the other side of the last scenario.

Well the first thing that needs to happen is an alert needs to be sent out to other cabinet members, congress, allies, and the public from the CP. These people need to be informed of the change in the chain-of-command so that all inquiries can be sent to the VP for quick response. All communications from allies need to be redirected to the VP and the only way to ensure that is to advise our allies ahead of time. Battle co-ordination with allies would be continue as normal as possible. If the CP is around to push buttons, then it’s pretty simple. Communicate with allies and plan the battles then send the CP a message with whatever battles need to be opened. If the CP is not around for button pushing, then the most we could offer is support of battle orders. We would still be active in informing eCanadians about which battles to fight in and which to not.

Besides the military portions of it, just hold down the fort. If some crisis in Congress comes up, deal with it as best as I can, just as if I was CP. If we’re attacked by some other country, just deal with the same way as I would if I were CP. That being said, I wouldn’t go out and completely 180 our battle plans or anything like that. Act as CP for the 4 days, within reasonable limits.

That’s about it! Please comment and criticize below!
