[Valtio tiedottaa] News in English

Day 2,247, 13:17 Published in Finland Finland by Ministry of Education FI
Good evening dear readers! Due to positive feedback, the Finnish Ministry of PR has decided to continue to write articles in English. This is to give foreigners and those who don't understand Finnish very well a possibility to understand what has been going on in Finland.

One major thing has of course been the peace treaty with Estonia. The voting is still on at the moment, but the treaty is passing with a huge majority. This is the first official peace treaty between Finland and Estonia since March 2012. Naturally our Natural Enemy has been changed from Estonia to no one. After a lengthy discussion, the government chose that this was the best available choice. This way Finland will (most likely) have Congress Elections this month and we can help our allies against their enemies. After the cooldown period Finland can put NE "anywhere the war situation needs."

The previous peace lasted only for a few days, how about this one?

As mentioned in the previous article there have been dissatisfied with government's policy on dealing tanks to important fights. Many say that there hasn't been enough giveouts during last months. Thus Finnish president TheJuliusCaesar decided to give out 5 tanks to everyone voting the official Defence Order. This meager giveout took 10% of the defence budget, which means that a serious battle could easily require the rest, even without combat orders. There won't most likely be any more "unnecessary" tank giveouts in a while.

We demand moar tanks!

Tomorrow is party president election day and it has been one of the biggest topics in media during the last few days. Especially heated up has been the discussion over the candidates in Wanhat Parrat, the biggest party in Finland. Even if that wasn't interesting enough on itself, the player behind the other main candidate has decided to participate in elections with another account in another top5 party as well. It's a well known fact that he has several accounts and he doesn't deny it. Having a reputation of buying votes, the elections in several parties may get interesting.

Didn't come up with a passing image - so enjoy these lovely pieces of art.
