[USWP] Things Are Happening

So let’s see, where do we begin?

Right, USWP’s trying to put WildOwl on the throne. I’m sure we can all agree that he’s a great and benevolent overlord, and thus perfect for the spot. So let’s all be sure to vote for WildOwl in this Presidential election and continue our nation’s trend towards glory and perfection.



In all seriousness, though, WildOwl’s been working hard for America ever since he started, and we’ve impatiently waited for this to come about. WO’s worked a wide range of jobs, has been active in each role, and now we get our chance to see him running the show. We’re at peace, and NewAzazel has us off to a brilliant start with work on foreign relations and even gaining bonuses. I can’t think of anyone better to take over and keep us on the right path here than our very own WildOwl.

I’ll be honest, I know him mostly as my PP, and the one who’s encouraged and pushed me every step to get from barely caring about the game to being a dedicated and loyal member of USWP and even this month’s SoH. I’ve enjoyed talking to him on many occasions on IRC, on the forum, and in-game, I know I can go to him with any questions, and he’s always good at motivating when I start to grow disinterested again. With this in mind, he might even have a solid chance at moving our once proud nation back to life instead of this half-dead and bored state we’re so used to--wouldn't that be truly amazing?

He’s worked hard and been a congressman, PP, SoH, SoE, entertaining IRC chatter, you name it. He cares a whole lot more than I do for our country and it’s players, and he’s only decided to run this month because he feels that it’s time. This was not a coin flip decision, WildOwl is not running just because. WildOwl wants to make sure we stay on our path back to greatness and I’m confident in his ability.





On another note, it seems you lot are liking our new Fast Forward supply program, this is good news--it’s been two weeks and we’re almost on our fifth page. If you’re hungry and need something to eat, feel free to step into the bread line. Perhaps you want some weapons to go fight our foes once your gut’s bulging? We offer those as well. USWP members get Q6 tanks as well as food, so hurry on over. Just remember to wait a half-hour after eating for the food to settle before setting out for war.

Oh, one other thing. As Speaker I’ve been thoroughly enjoying myself, and this month’s congress is wonderful. Plenty of activity, lots of fun, attempting to abolish math, high quorum… Even a censure within the first 10 days! No congress is complete without a problem child, yes? Glad we all agree. Go check out congress this month and see what you’re missing out on by not being more active.

Seriously, step it up, we all love it when you’re actively engaged in this whole elitist meta thing.




All said and done, we’d all love to see more of you on the forums and even IRC, and if you join us there you’re quite likely to find that you fit in and are welcomed.
