This month's Congressional election showed us the lengths our enemies are willing to go to in attempting to PTO the eUSA. Free Area, the Party President of the American Military Party, was revealed to be a long term mole for Serbia. He used his power to manipulate the AMP congressional roster, getting a number of PTO candidates elected.

Through the quick action of leaders and voters across the eUS the damage was blunted. However, PTO forces still managed to grab hold of more than a third of all congressional seats.

The USWP would like to thank WildOwl for coordinating election day events while Othere was afk. Additionally, we would like to thank the Croatians for quickly switching their voting priority away from the AMP upon hearing about the PTO. It is through coordination and cooperation like this that we are truly able to be successful.



What's Next?

In the aftermath of all this, the big question has been what should be done with the AMP. John Killah has stepped up as interim PP for the AMP and offered a mea culpa for what transpired. To some though, this does not seem to be enough.

There have been calls for the removal of AMP from Unity, some would have us ostracize the party and let it wither on the vine as retribution for this calamity, whether deserved or not.

The United States Workers Party would like it to be known that we stand by and support our brothers and sisters in the American Military Party. During these times we need to exercise compassion and empathy. As John said in his article, we need to consider how we would like to be treated were the roles reversed.



Unity(and unity)Moving Forward

Many citizens, this writer included, have voiced skepticism of Unity in recent weeks. It has come to be seen as a hindrance, a damper on fun and new thinking in the name of the greater good.

Recent events however show that while numerically the PTO threat may not be as big as in the past, their resolve is far from gone. They will keep pushing us, and we must beat back that threat.

Therefore, the USWP will continue to support Unity for as long as necessary and not a moment longer. Though it is not a perfect system, it has been shown to work and that is what our nation needs at the moment.

More importantly, we all must come together in true unity. Facing further PTO attempts and the looming specter of war, all parties, all citizens must work together the best we can for the good of our country. To do otherwise will certainly set us on the path to collapse. This does not mean however that there cannot be dissenting opinions. In any government, loyal opposition is valuable in crafting truly balanced policy.
