[USRP] Introducing the Union of Social Reform Party

Greetings Citizens of eCanada,

I speak to you now of the Union of Social Reform Party.



I have molded the USRP to fit the values that I feel eCanada needs to uphold. I would like to reiterate that these Values are to be expressed toward eCanada as a whole.

The Values:
-A sense of Unity as a Nation, while respecting differences in the opinions of others
-Activity both in-game and out
-Swift Communication on every front.
-The maintaining of honesty and Dignity in all situations
-To haveKnowledge about game mechanics and meta game
-Innovative perspective on both new and old topics
-The achievement and retention of the Glory of eCanada

Mission Statement:
To incite activity while improving the positive meta-game of eCanada, both for internal and external affairs.

-Promote the formation and orchestration of social programs such as National Timed Strikes, Article competitions, and /or IRC functions to increase activity in and out of game.

Discourse Promoter:
Discussions of current topics will be directed and maintained by Party President appointed Discourse Promoters. These Promoters will begin and monitor discussions that center on eCanadian affairs, and should involve every member of the party. For now, they will occur in group PMs and over IRC. If the size of the party outgrows the PMs, then another location may be formed.

Analysis of Discussions:
The Union of Social Reform Party's public views about internal and external affairs will be fluid. Community driven discussion will be used to form a general stance for the party as a whole, but this in no way locks party members into a certain mindset. All situations will be analyzed in relation to the Values that we believe all eCanadians must uphold. It will be the duty of the Discourse Promoters and the Party President to prepare final articles on the topics, if it is decided one should be released.

Party President Elections:
(Next month, I will request that I be elected once more, as I will not be able to fully implement these features until then.

On the 10th day of each month, potential Party Presidents must declare themselves publicly. On the 12th, all party members will be prompted to inform the current Discourse Promoters if they believe any of the candidates do not uphold the Values. Personal opinions about game topics should not be considered here. If there are a significant amount of members who find a problem with a candidate, the Discourse Promoters may request that a candidate step down and try harder to uphold the values of the party.

Country President Nominations:
(This month, I will be nominating myself.)

In future months, there will be a simple majority vote for all publicly declared CP candidates that will start on the 28th of each month and will last for 48 hours. Any candidates that declare their intentions after the 28th will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Whichever candidate has more votes will be selected, regardless of political party.
