[US Congress] Tax Reduction Bill

Bill – Tax Reduction
My Fellow Americans,
This is my first proposal as an American Congressman for tax reduction in our great land. As you may know, the United States (US) has one of the highest tax rates in the eWorld.
News from the other side of the Atlantic sea arrived this week that the Portuguese Congress approved to drastically lower their taxation on Food and Weapons.
As you may see in the next three images (proposal and approved new taxes), the Portuguese lowered their taxation (VAT 25% to 1% as well as imported goods from 25% to 5
😵.
(Portuguese Congress Approval – Food Taxes)
(Portuguese Congress Approval – Weapons Taxes)
(Portuguese Taxes Nowadays)
As you may appreciate from these images, we Americans have a 25% tax for Food and Weapon production, which is strangling the market, because if an average US citizen decide to buy the Portuguese market license, he or she might buy weapons/food in Portugal and sell them in the US market. This is similar to contraband within our borders, which we cannot allow to happen.
(United States Taxes – Nowadays)
I am proposing this bill against my own business, but now I eLive in the US, so I do what it is best for my country.
So I propose to all congress to lower the taxation both on Food and Weapon production from the initial 25% to 15%, so our entrepreneurs can develop once again a competitive spirit, within borders and overseas. Many of the factory owners sell their products in the IRC channel #itrade, but with this tax reduction, they would be able to sell once again in the US market.
If not a 10% reduction, at least consider a 5% reduction in income taxation on Food and Weapons and a reduction of the VAT to 2% or 3%.
With this bill we can again get a strong market within our borders.
I leave this article/bill to the US population for consideration and constructive critics, to make this country even stronger and bigger that is nowadays.
Thank you all.
My best regards
Proud American Freedom Alliance Congressman

1. you don't need a license to buy Portugues product - only to sell there. Prices in Portugal are similar to domestic prices. You are, therefore, simply mistaken.
2. Reducing the income tax may be worth discussion, though it has been discussed at length many times. Most active players do not work for a wage. Taxing wages is a way to move money from the inactive to the active, and from foreign players to our team.
3. improving production bonuses will likely generate greater wealth for government and individuals.
4. Weapons are presently being produced and sold for "cost" or less. The concept of "value added" or "profit" seems to have escaped eRepublik long ago.

I was giving an example about my previous country. Of course we need more regions to get more bonus, but in the past three months the bonus stays the same. With a tax reduction we can make our economy more dynamic.
I do not agree with in the mather that the salary is just for kicks... One's salary is much import to keep buying and trading in the market.
Im simple saying that americans should not leave us soil to buy or sell, or even produce, because lower productiom cost due salary and raw buying is the main aspect of this bill there an American could buy inland insteadbuying in another market if we get a tax reduction.
Lower taxes atract more people we with companies and increases our dynamics in the market.
That is all it is about this bill increase our market dynamic whereas we do not have 100% bonus
The taxes need to stay high. This has been looked at for years and the same conclusion has always been reached.....the taxes need to stay high. The world we play in here in eRepublik is not the real world. Things that simply do not work in the real world like socialism and communism are actually the best ways to run a country here in the game. In fact this game may truly be the only place in the world where socialism and communism are a good thing. Once again, in the real world high taxes are a very bad thing. Here in the game world high taxes are a great thing for the country. Throw out all the real world thinking and economics because here in the game world it just simply does not work. In real life I'm as Conservative as they come, but I recognize that here in the game Conservative policies just don't work. We have a good system and smart people know that when something is not broken, you don't break it by trying to "fix" it.
I support a reduction of taxes. I feel this will improve things.
Of course you do. When RGR say's jump you jump. We expect nothing less of you and the rest of the parrots in the AFA. No original ideas have come out of there since the party's inception. The AFA just regurgitates whatever RGR has been pushing and blindly follows. If the AFA actually has a good idea then the rest of us are all ears. But "lower taxes" and "open immigration" are not good ideas.
"lower taxes" and "open immigration" and re -establishing the 10/10 bonuses are are why there are so many players supporting the AFA,. RGR is just an outstanding player working toward these goals. He is only speaking for the group.
Your "so many players" are foreign nationals who came here illegally. Just because your fellow AFA pto'ers let them in with no regard to our established immigration rules does not mean they are Americans. If I went to Servia and tried doing the same things there they are doing here, they would call me a pto'er and they would be correct. The very definition of a pto'er is a foreign player who takes citizenship in a country and works to change that country against the will of the actual citizens of that country. That pretty much describes the entire AFA membership. In all honestly the opinions of the AFA can not be taken into consideration when we choose how to operate our country as they are not our countrymen. You call RGR an outstanding player. Does this mean that you consider stalking and threatening young children to be outstanding behavior? Can you honestly say you would be ok with RGR being anywhere near your wife or your child? Yet you call him outstanding. I guess rape, murder, and child molestation rate pretty high up on your list too huh. All in all it's not much of a leap to go from stalking and threatening kids to rape and chlld abuse. Your view of what constitutes "outstanding" in a person is fatally flawed, and you should look within yourself to figure out what is wrong with you that makes you value those qualities in a person.
This is not a RGR proposal... it is my own proposal... RGR agreed to publish in his newspaper!
While it may be your proposal, it is the same idea that RGR has been pushing for years. Considering there is actually zero difference in your proposal then it might as well be an RGR proposal. If you genuinely have some fresh ideas then take them to the proper people and they will listen. You do however greatly limit your ability to be heard when you use RGR as a mouthpiece. You see due to RGR's past actions he has used up all the goodwill anyone here in the USA might have once had to listen to him. If you truly want to help, then break free of him, go out on your own and present your ideas. Only when you are free from RGR's influence will you genuinely be heard.
I dont see why i cannot be taken seriously while i am a member and congressman elected from AFA. All of us maybe have done some mistakes, but this bill is for all americans... including AFA members, non-AFA members, no political afiliated people... RGR just, how can i say this, did me a favour and published my words, my writing in his newspaper... this is my idea, that i presented to the AFA congressman and they agreed to present to all americans for discussion...
I respect all opinions, still i'll remain AFA. I think it is time for you to think that foreigners that have apply and are American CS, are Americans now.. they vote, they can talk, they can dream about a better eAmerican. Not just for the gold mine, or bonus.
I re-call in real life, President Obama said that, American was a country of immigration, so why don't you take seriously my proposal? Why do all the other parties do not take seriously Ronald (he is an american) ...
Cut taxes to zero so us greedy capitalists win!!!!
That won't work amigo, we just need to lower them a bit.
We need 10/10 bonus!
Agreed!
i wish i could vote again.

I do not have access to the forum, why don't you post here the link... As an AFA congressman i want what is best for america, or try to improve this great country of ours, not like some people that just sit back and do nothing, while uncle sam drinks an afternoon tea...
I am going to take you at your word that you really do want to help. Everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. However you are in a really bad place to be heard. As long as you are part of RGR's pto faction you and your ideas will never be taken seriously. I do hope you heed this advice and move out on your own. It would be interesting to see what you can accomplish free from RGR's influence.
And you call us PTOers..... Something must be wrong....
in your head.
You still criticizing and I dont see the eUS forum...

I don't think I am alone. I will take any good idea seriously. I don't much care about the source. I don't think this one is a particularly good one, but for concrete reasons previously set out. I would prefer to encourage the public discussion of ideas. Here is a good place since congress tends to have these discussions in private/secret. I will not be voting for Ajay anytime soon but if AFA members can create workable policy I'm all for it.
I find it amusing that you will buy votes for your articles where you're running for PP, something that has no chance of succeeding, but when it comes to trying to get taxes reformed in the eUS(something that actually stands a chance), your purse strings are surprisingly tight.
Seems like someone is too braindead to look around the e-world and see that the economy of every single country is crap. Taxes won't fix what the admins screwed up. If you really wanted to help, you wouldn't hitch your horse to the bigot that published this article.
I am just now seeing this but I find it amusing. Portugal was making about 5-7k per day from income taxes before they passed the tax cuts.
What do they average now?
$1343 per day.
That's a 76.6% cut on revenue. I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I don't feel like the eUSA government should take that kind of a hit to its treasury.
