Hiyo.
I just thought I'd clear the air on a few things and note how the UPC is doing right now. We've had a lot of action going around lately, Internal Conflict to keep us all on our feet, lots of Forum Polls to decide where to go from here, two members declaring CP candidacy, sparking a race for the UPC Nomination between them...
Lets get it all sorted out.
Organisation is Key.
Internal Conflict
So a little bit of a heated argument with Debates sparked after the Tax Proposal by Lord Beorn went though without any actual discussion between him and the rest of the party. The Spokesman and Vice President slots were replaced, with the VP spot still going around, and back at me for some reason, considering I was the one fired that made it change in the first place. However, this conflict has not shaken the foundations of our Party, our membership has carried on, not even blinking in the face of the dispute, and we remain as set in our goals as ever before.
Forum Polls
The Forum has had 3 Polls running to inform everyone on, one Regarding a change to our Economic Platform to clarify Priorities when it comes to Military Funding, which sits at 11 Yes and 4 No, currently. The second was an overhaul of the Political Platform which has gotten 2 Yes and 4 No as of now. The third Poll is a premature CP support poll, it is very likely it will be scrapped and a new one will be held when we see who all of the Serious Candidates are.
Two Country President Candidates
Both Jefflav and Frank139 have announced their intention to run for CP this November 5th, the UPC is proud to see not one, but two of its members step up to the plate and make a solid effort towards the Big Seat of Politics. Both are long time eRepublik players and we are excited to see what they can bring to the plate with future articles.
Final Thoughts
Now, I'm sure some of you will try to ridicule the United Party of Canada for the past few days, try to bring us down. A quick newsflash I wish to present, it won't be working that easily. We are built by our Members and their hard work, Brick by Brick, if you plan on trying to take down the UPC, you have to go through every Brick, one by one, and we don't intend to sit by and watch you do so.

The UPC should be embarrassed rather than proud that they are even considering endorsing those two career candidates. Jefflav for example is quite often used as an example of what not to do when speaking with noobs (and not just by me but by many others).
Those two are just using UPC for their own political purposes. Riding the wave and hoping it leads to greatness, otherwise, they'll just hope for the next one.
