***United we Stand, Informed we Understand***
Uncle Sam
There have been many things wrong with the USA recently. The public has been crying out is voices of anger and rage against my administration. In the midst of this, we are getting our asses handed to us out on the battlefield. Finally, the ATLANTIS issue is still a looming issue that feeds on all of us. Given all these situations, I am of course very pissed off, however giving into those emotions will get us nowhere. Swallowing ones pride doesn't taste very good, however we need to move forward as a country. We've been through this dance once before, and it's caused us many problems. I ask ourselves, have we learned from the past?
A Public Apology
I make a public apology to the USA today because I have no exactly communicated well with the public. I have recently been doing a lot of my work behind closed doors such as working on a peace proposal with Mexico and working to delay and nullify the ATLANTIS fines. While I have been writing article giving the population information on war updates, that has not been enough to satisfy the need for transparency in government. Morale has been down with the change in tides of the war, and my tactics were flawed. I apologize for this. PEACE has brought in their best trolls and have stirred up the public over issues that fluster our population. I wasn't there to minimize the damage and I apologize for that.
Communication with my congress has been lacking, not because I want to keep war strategy away from possible leaks, but because of the ATLANTIS fine situation. I apologize for this. The abuse of executive power to make decisions without going through congress on such issues like the use of treasury money to fund tanks or pay one fine to ATLANTIS is another thing I'd like to apologize for.
They say that the leader must take the first step to correcting a wrong, and this is the first step. I would hope that my example will inspire American citizens to do the same, as I am not the only one who can fix our problems.
United we must Stand!
People of the USA. Tension is high, and citizens are letting their emotions take control of their words to some degree. I once again ask, have we learned from the past? The last time we as a country started fighting with each other cost us national security and sanity. We are only seeing the beginning of this same situation arising again, only under slightly different circumstances.
Before and during the first phases of war, our country was united and we dominated the battlefield. Now we are divided once again, and inner conflict is causing our military performance to suffer. I take slight responsibility for this as I am now trying to work on all sides of this issue, and the political side is demanding more attention. currently, our division is only causing us problems that manifest themselves in war. The social problems have made our country the laughing stock of the world for whatever reason. It is making our alliance weak as we show public contempt and allow PEACE to take the upper hand.
I ask that all Americans remember how strong we are when we are united! The population was excited over the fact that we were getting involved in so many wars, and the excitement and unity gave us strength. The only way to get that power back is to work together, work towards improvement instead of flaming on forums and questioning sexuality in articles. America is stronger than this! We've been united for such a time, and we must not allow ourselves to slip into a social depression like we have before.
Clarification for Understanding
So that our country is more updated on some issues, I must clarify a few issues and rumors that have been going around. First off, America has not fought for Indonesia, nor have we sent tanks to Romania while we were fighting battles at home. These are simply fabrications to get Americans riled up.
ATLANTIS Fines: Understand that I have spoken with ATLANTIS and most have agreed to either deny the 100 gold or put off the payment until a later date, allow us more time to negotiate with ATLANTIS. The country that is the exception to the rule is the UK who demanded the gold right away. We did in fact pay them, however I negotiated with their Prime minister so that the gold will be returned at a later date.
Peace Negotiations with Mexico: I have negotiated a peace treaty with PEACE leaders on behalf of Mexico and things looked positive for a time. One of the terms included the fact that we would keep Baja for quite a long time to do Resistance War Games. Unfortunately, Mexico and PEACE have seemingly went back on their word, and now Baja is being attacked. At this rate, PEACE cannot be trusted, and negotiations will not deter American military action. Unless a cease fire is agreed upon, Negotiations for peace will take a back seat, while still being in light discussion.
Where to Fight: For those Americans who still have yet to fight, we are going to fight in Baja at this point. Do what you must, save wellness and put up a fight that we can still stand strong in if united.
Sincerest Apologies to America,
-Uncle Sam-
USA President
USA! USA! USA!

Is it true of the Impeachment....
That is horrible or is a congress member getting impeahed.
Um, you sent a BS proposal while we've got the upper hand. You know what the truth is, and what kind of garbage you had.
We never promised anything, and you full well know it.
Impeach the liar.
"At this rate, PEACE cannot be trusted."
-
When where they trustful, again?
I have seem to have forgotten...
Thank you for taking responsibility. May I be the first to commend you for acknowledging that mistakes were made.
However, it would be further mistaken and disingenuous to suggest that dissent and division are the cause instead of the result of failures in the war effort.
To All Americans: http://www.erepublik.com/en/a[..]/1/20
Not my fault you're the most inept US President to ever sit in the seat.
Why did the US elect a President who says something like "Sorry, had to run, here's a basic draft. Amend it however you like" when they're trying to negotiate like a big boy.
This is wonderful, but what we need right now is military direction. Where should we fight? What should be ignore? I have a gun and I want to use it, lol.
I hope you can end the war soon Sam, because it seems to be tearing our nation apart.
@Dishmcds
For ONCE I agree with you Dishmcds
Impeach Uncle Sam!!!
boo! You went behind ATLANTIS's back and didn't inform us! Now look. portugaul is beating your arse raw. Your losing the war and your properganda is failing to unite your people.
Dishmcds, why are you talking? Why are you saying "we"? Exactly, who the Fack are you that gets you involved in these discussions?
I'm me. And I could care less whether you want me here or not. Here I am, deal with it.
Dish, you're being a bit of an ass.
PS - I'm Mexican, and "we" is Mexico. We've got the upper hand.
lrntocomprehend.
Thanks for manning up.
A lot of us are still pretty pissed off about the situation, but I appreciate what you said.
As far as what we've learned from it?
1) don't start wars until we are sure we have weapons stockpiled or enough domestic weapons industries to supply us through a prolonged fight. As we have seen, things can turn on a dime.
2) the attack on the Southeast should go into a manual for every future President of what NOT to do. We need to be very, very, careful about attacks that can trigger MPP's. I'm not saying that I would've forseen Mexico's sudden withdrawal, and PEACE's sudden arrival in massive numbers in North America, but then I've only been playing a month.
Good luck, America. We have some difficult times ahead.
I am going to just continue to restate this over and over until we get an article elsewhere or an answer here:
Where should we fight? What should be ignored? We have some powerful nations knocking on our door and no direction. For the time being, UncleSam, you are still our president. Lead us.
@Ryan: Los gringos invaded my country, and thought we were "going to be OK with it".
They deserve what they get, and need a President who "has time to negotiate", not the rubbish we got offered.
I think it's somewhat more than just division that is hurting the military performance. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for kicking ass but I think the ridiculous price of weapons is forcing most Americans to fight bare fisted and SEVERELY hurting our damage output.
Almost all Americans fight I've noticed, political divisions or not, they like the rank and XP and fight either way.
But like yesterday there was some military communication lacking (and apparently has been lacking for some time now) where our military has no idea where to fight, or who to fight for. That makes a lot of ideas from your secretary of defense worthless Sam, unless we make communication better.
Voted, because I still like most of what you do sam
Dish, it looked like you went to the first country that the U.S threatened at all to bad mouth us.
@ Ryan: Dishmcds? A bit of an ass? NEVER!
Dishmcds is an example of what happens when you let 16 year olds use the internet unsupervised. 😉
Because you should totally talk about delicate peace negotiations in an open article to the public.

Thank GOD! Keeping Baja for a set time period like you talked about with me is just stupid, and really thought out in a short-term mentality (much like this war).
Never have I seen in my life so much respect paid to incompetence and failure. People of eUSA, you are in deep trouble! A bunch of egocentric adventurists have lead you - the most populous and economically strong of the eNations - to a series of dismal defeats at the hands of third-rate eWorld powers. They fast-talk you into miscalculated and unnecessary wars, siphon the nation's resources into private pet-projects, boast profusely with their mediocre achievements and apologize reluctantly and insincerely for their frequent blatant mistakes. They make and carry out important decisions behind closed doors in total disregard for the people's will. And then you pay the price and suffer the dire consequences. They have made you a joke in the eyes of allies and enemies alike. Why are putting up with all this BS?!!
And now they're saying "don't kick us out before the crisis is over". But guess what - they'll do their best to perpetuate the nation's problems, because should the situation improve the people will immediately throw them out of office. Are you going to wait for these people to plunge the country in a full-scale national catastrophe so they insure themselves against your rightful anger and blame it all on the evil foreigners?!
> PEACE has brought in their best trolls
Haha, take responsibility for once Sam. PEACE didn't need anyone to troll and you're trying to find an excuse. Again.
It were actually a lot of American citizens that apparently were worried about what was happening and Atlantis nations that were unpleased with your actions.
> have seemingly went back on their word.
Was there an agreement then? No there wasn't, so there was nothing you could base trust upon. Besides, you could also have sent a real proposal of course.
>Dishmcds is an example of what happens when you let 16 year olds use the internet unsupervised. 😉
Protip: trolling someone who has a child half your age probably isnt going to work.
Especially when they're the one who's right.
@Chisholm: What part of "I'm Mexican" do you people not understand. Thats been public knowledge for over a year.
I've joked about invading Mexico, thought about taking it over, and so on, but never thought of wiping it off the map. You chose this path, and I came to it's defense.
Deal.
@Dish
Its "couldn't care less" smart guy. You just said you care a lot.
I am going to just continue to restate this over and over until we get an article elsewhere or an answer here:

Sam you screwed usa up. Its over now.
And you wonder why USA can't get anything done??? The Citizens or rather so-called leaders of the various parties in USA have their own agenda and no and I mean NO ONE follows anyone...
SO either get a grip and a thought between you all or the USA will once again be a Colony of another power!
Disclaimer: I apologize for the undeserved hurtful things I've written about Uncle Sam and his clique, but I'm fighting for the much coveted "Best PEACE troll" medal. Call 1-800-FCUK-ATLANTIS and tell me how I'm doing 🙂
@Arbyn: What the hell are you on about?
@Dish and Grakulan- no one asked you for your opinon go back to your country... And get out of are conversation.
Um, no. Until you are out of mine, I think I'll make myself nice and cozy in yours.
Until you realise you've already lost.
@Dish
"I'm me. And I could care less whether you want me here or not. Here I am, deal with it."
If your gonna come and talk smack up all over the place at least make sense of yourself.
Do you care or not?
Personally I don't give a crap about this war but your being an ass.
History shows nex to nothing to show the alliance works. The only thing we are decent at is defending and that wont hold forever.
the fine
Why pay for something one else has ever been force to? enough said
peace with mexico
sine we havent been shown the purposed treaty Im guessing it was a joke and that it wasnt a real effort. Im guessing your just using this as propaganda to try and keep control.
United we Stand
We arent standing united we've never truely stood united. I really think its either time to move on or start fighting in a way we can win. If PEACE is going to fight dirty we're going to have too as well. As it stands they gain more money and land and we just maintain. Thats a recipe for tragedy. Please dont allow that to happen.
We need to pull in more nations to ATLANTIS to effectively fight PEACE. They have continued to recruit offensive countries while we only seem to take on new countries that are forced into a defensive posture. If we're not going to gain land through conquest we need to gain it through new members. Stagnation isnt working.
Down with Sam!
@Uncle Sam - sending a PM with your demands for the peace treaty does not mean that you have been answered positively.
You have been answered by the MoFA of Mexico that Mexico, Portugal and France will discuss the CeaseFire (as they have been mentioned in the eventual peace treaty), and ones ceasefire is signed then a Peace Treaty will be prepared and discussed between USA and the other parties. As you know these countries are in different time zones and is not easy to gather MoFAs for only 7-8 hours to discuss a ceasefire and a peace treaty and actually make it ready. You have no answer over your demand for Baja neither have you have seen the full demands of each side. I really believe you are smart enough to understand that a simple chat between few people (Mexican representative missing)for 10 min and exchange of ideas for peace treaty is far from any agreement. You have send your proposal for peace which includes returning of Mexican regions (baja is mexican), why don't you wait for a counter offer and then you might see that Peace GC and Mexico has taken your demands under consideration but they also have few.
Dear lord, we have Americans agreeing with the biggest PEACE of shit (dish) to impeach sam? Are you all serious? Who are you going to replace him with? A left wing nut who capitulates to PEACE, or a right wing nut who alienates our allys and watches armys march into texas, louisana, mississipi, alabama, florida, the carolinas, the virginias, and into our capital? Down with sam my ass, its down with you damn idiot.
@Arbyn: I'm an ass. Everyone knows it. Fact. Problem solved.
So you can either deal with it, or move on. It's up to you.
I am going to just continue to restate this over and over until we get an article elsewhere or an answer here:
Where should we fight? What should be ignored? We have some powerful nations knocking on our door and no direction. For the time being, UncleSam, you are still our president. Lead us.
Uncle Sam, if eUSA's downfall was my dream I'd sing praise to your every action. In just a few weeks your decisions have destroyed eUSA's military credibility, diplomatic standing and economic momentum.
However the fact you've forced PEACE into attacking your homeland is worrying me. Talk is cheap and your insincere apologies extracted after much insistence and criticism are worthless after all the lies and half-truths you have spoken to your own people. I'd like to see you shoulder your guilt and leave your office, so someone whose motivation and competence haven't been compromised can negotiate a deal with PEACE. I'd like to see eUSA as a powerful international factor balancing between ATLANTIS and PEACE, thus becoming a guardian of world peace rather than a toy in the hands of opportunists on a power trip and allies with ulterior motives.
Uncle Sam we stand behind you! Tell us where to fight and I will go there in a heartbeat.
Apparently people forget its a game. Have some fun don't give yourselves a hernia. sheesh
@ All the people who want to impeach sam- I hate this, Someone Makes a mistake and you all turn ape shit on ONE person. Yeah he paied the fine, Get over it, Its done he followed the rules. This is a Game LIFE MOVES ON. Sam made a mistake, He is a human being.
I said this in another artical..
"America pick yourselves up, dust yourself's off and move on."
@Claire Littleton
I'm pretty sure that no one in the eUSA has an answer to your question right now.
Y'know I click around on this site alot to figure stuff out.
I find pockets of people who dropped out two months ago. Like ghost towns, full companies of 10 & 20 people who just quit reporting to work. Just pulled the plug on this game & walked away.
I wonder how many will do that this time around.
I say thank you for explaining some issues. Even though some things I do and don't agree with(Agree PEACE can't be trusted, Don't Agree payed some fines) I am a new player. I started about a month and a half ago. I don't really know much about this stuff and I would be first to admit it. I think that you should have communicated more like you said but otherwise I personaly think you are doing well.
Hey, I am just trying to figure out what the hell is going on. I understand that people want to impeach him, I understand there are issues at hand with ATLANTIS right now... I understand that most citizens have no idea what is going on with this war or where to fight.
People are fighting for Oaxaca... why? That is rather pointless. Some are fighting for Baja? Why? I think that we should let Mexico take it and possibly prevent Portugal from getting to the original US sooner.
Point is, people are wasting health and money and weapons on battles that we are going to lose or battles we may want to lose, but they don't know that. Hell, I don't know what the plan is.
I suggest that we quit bickering (dish and co.) and get down to brass tax here. We need leadership, even if said leadership is under attack from critics. He is STILL our president and our commander in chief...
