[UKGov]UK Today #9 - 7 Questions With Kravenn

Day 1,802, 15:22 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by eUK Home Office

Hello and welcome to the ninth edition of this month’s UK Today! Yes, we’re back interviewing and today is the turn of Kravenn, the current Minister of Foreign Affairs. It’s been an interesting time to be the minister with Turkey’s recent decisions and the fall of an alliance. So without further to do, here are his thoughts!

1. How's it shaking?

I’m fine, lot of things to manage on this moment. Being MoFa is quite exciting

2. What have you been up to so far this term?

Mainly, I worked to close the war with Ireland, Launched the reform of the ambassador program, Try to help our apprentices, write some articles for our population (Like MoFA News) and being in touch with our allies. Even if my answer can be short : trust me, it takes a lot of time

3. What do you think has gone well so far and why?

Reform of the ambassador program, I’m quite happy to see several people involved and publish interview of world leaders. I had no goal about the amount of interview published but I already saw some from Belgium, Slovenia, USA, Ireland, … (and I know that some apprentices will contact some countries on the following days). A bit happy to see our apprentices motivated by the new program

4. What’s not done as well as you expected? Why do you think that is?

Closing the war with Ireland was a bit a harder than I expected.
First of all, I began to work with their last cabinet and on October 5, a new one was elected. Even if they had same goals : I should prefer to finish the work with the same team. Due to Erep Mechanics : it wasn’t the case.
So, it added some days to do it. Also, it wasn’t easy to tell them “UK congress decided to stop the swap and each country takes back its original regions”. You need to remain calm, … because you walk on eggshells.
At the end, my only regret is that it could be closed a bit before than I thought but each staff worked well.

5. What's your opinion on the state of current alliances and our position within them?

Very interesting moment, we all know what happened with ONE and now CTRL appeared. Sadly for them : they had some problems (like in the war between Serbia and China : 2 countries helped Serbia when the 2 others were on China side).
Also, I’m not in favor to join any alliance to say “Hey look, unlike you, we joined an alliance”. I prefer to wait a bit but on the same time : keep good relations with our best friends like Poland, Serbia, MKD, …
We could be able to have ALT status in CTRL (junior partner of the alliance) but I’m not in favor to open talks about it as long as their internal problems are not resolved. I’m very careful about it.

6. How is the apprentice program going?

Quite good, but unlike last months : I can’t compare to previous months because Apprentice program is totally different than ambassador.
My opinion is that if the ambassador joins a foreign forum and say
“Hi, I’m UK ambassador, this is the composition of our gov, …
Bye”

It takes 15 minutes in a month and he learns nothing. I prefer that he learns things about a foreign country, its community, its allies, … by contact of one their leader. It is more interactive and useful for the apprentice than post 3 times the same thing on different forums.

7. What’s your opinion on Talon and the cabinet’s term so far?

A good one, Talon is a great leader, he chose a cabinet with experienced people and young guys. He made a good team with people from different parties. I’m unable to say that it is the best cabinet ever but our current cabinet is a good one 🙂

As I said a few articles ago, the NHS relies on donations from the public to keep going, so if you have an amount of food clogging up your inventory space, or you’d just like to help support new players, then you can donate to BlueandEvil, no matter how much or how little we’ll be very grateful for it!

If you missed the last article and want to know about the Military Units of the eUK you can do so by reading the latest Encyclopædia Britannica article by clicking right here.
