[UKGOV] MoFA: Introductions and to War

Day 2,087, 08:12 Published in United Kingdom North Macedonia by Foreign Office

Greetings. This month, the UKs Government is as follows;

President: Carlini8
Ministers of Foreign Affairs: Talon Karrde and jamesw
Minister of Defence: Madacaion, BigAnt and Richard Feist
Minister of Finance: Emergy Maxfell
Minister of Home Affairs: Huey George
Minister of Health: Zaphod Beeblebrox
Minister of Recruitment: Goku Jones

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will, this month, be looking to bring through a new generation of players, with a simple but dynamic approach. Everything we do will be explained and debated with players. We won't just explain what is happening, or what we are doing, but also venturing into the forgotten territories of why and how.

The aim is not just to train apprentices this month (iGuy, Ash Brandon, Alphabethis and McAffee01 have applied so far), but also publicise and encourage discussions within and about the ministry, so that the population at large are kept in the loop. If you are interested in volunteering (which requires as little or as much of your time as you are willing to give), then drop either MoFA a line and they'll sort you out.

In short, this month will be about ensuring accountability, and transparency in the ministry. We are not just going to do our best for the UK, we'll explain what we think this is, how we will go about doing it, and most of all, why we feel and do what we do. Apologies for the briefness of this article, but we intend to hit the ground running, and so are spending the majority of our time organising something to increase our damage in the upcoming 9002nd tournament / buy gold event starting tomorrow.

Congratulations to Carlini8, welcome to our new Government, and most of all welcome and good luck to the team this month. Should you wish to contact the UK, you can do so in game using the links above, or by finding jamesw or Talon_Karrde on IRC. We like to sit and idle in #euk - so come meet our citizens, make some new friends, so on and so forth.

The next article, due out shortly, will be exploring the most important element of foreign affairs for UK citizens: our TWO allies. Anyone interested in how this article will be researched and written, or who feels they can contribute somewhat, is of course free to drop me a line here.

Otherwise, prepare to begin the German war shortly. We acknowledge and are actively investigating the just-proposed law in Norway, which you can view here. Contact has been made, and we did attempt to get this voted down. However, the Norwegian government informed us this war was declared to improve their chances in the competition. Of course, things like this should be discussed first (free protip of the day), but there seems to be no bad intentions on their part (save for of course, not thinking this through properly).

On behalf of the MoFA team this month,
jamesw and Talon Karrde
