Day 1,122, 17:21 Published in United Kingdom North Macedonia by Foreign Office
After GGRyan resigned from the position I'm back. The last few days have been extraordinarily busy around the world and have been very interesting for everyone who takes an interest in international events.

Serbia fight it out with Croatia and Bosnia for high grain and more

One of the key conflicts of the past few days that has drawn attention from all around the world are the Serbian assaults on Bosnia and Herzegovina and then on Croatia. The invasion started earlier in the week when Serbia attacked Brcko District, an insignificant cattle region bordering the Serbian and Croatian fortresses of Vojvodina and Slavonia respectively. This was a very easy victory for the Phoenix giant, with the war not yet on the radars of most across the globe. Serbia then hit East Srpska Republic, also a cattle region and also another easy 8-0 victory. This was followed up by success in West Srpska Republic, 8-1 however from then on things got a lot harder for the Serbian invaders, with their attack on the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina being heavily defended by EDEN, especially Cromanian (Croatia and Romanian) tanks and armies, whilst Phoenix was distracted elsewhere. This resulted in a heavy defeat of the giant by the small nation, although they did receive huge levels of EDEN support. Bosnia then attempted a counter attack on West Srpska Republic but they were beaten back easily. Serbia followed their successful defence up with a strike on Federation, which they had found tough a couple of days ago, but now conquered with ease, with EDEN and Bosnian forces seemingly exhausted. This wiped Bosnia off the map, a good victory that has helped galvanise Serbia, due to its RL significance, however Bosnia has since returned to the map through a RW in Brcko District. After conquering Bosnia, Serbia made a move on their biggest enemy and rival, Croatia, attacking Lika and Gorski Kotar, a battle which they won very narrowly after a close fought fight. Earlier today they attacked South Dalmatia, which is a high fish region, something Serbia doesn't hold. If Serbia win they will get the full 25% bonus on food production, and need just Saltpeter, Oil and Rubber. This front has captured much of the world's attention as these two giants have been slogging it out and it will be interesting to see how this front develops in the next few days.

Poland, Sweden and Italy invade Germany for the second time in as many months.

This front once again re ignited with a Polish natural enemy law against Germany, which was followed up swiftly by an attack on the German capital, Brandenburg and Berlin, which was won easily by a huge barrage of Polish tanks and troops. They followed up with an attack on Saxony, where they once again managed to outgun the Phoenix nation, although it was a much closer battle than the previous one. They then easily conquered LSB, North Rhine Westphalia and Hesse, which combined with the Italians conquering Bavaria, Baden Wuttemburg and Thuringia and the Swedes taking Schleswig Holstein and Hamburg, Western Pomerania and Saxony Anhalt means that Germany is now down to one region, their fortress Saarland, which is currently safe due to the French presence in Rhineland Palatinate, although it remains to be seen how long the EDEN forces will be satisfied without Germany being wiped off the map.

The most hotly anticipated war in months begins.

The war that many have been waiting for in the months since Turkey's massive babyboom was finally started earlier in the week after the Turkish CP declared war via natural enemy. They immediately attacked Thrace, which was easily secured by Greece and was criticised by some in Turkey for being attacked too early, before their young population were fully ready for war. Greece counter attacked with an attack on Mediterranean Coast of Turkey, which was relatively easily secured by Turkey, with some Phoenix support. Turkey have since made another foray into Greece, this time hitting the Aegean Islands, a region that it is one of their national goals to capture, a battle that is currently looking to close to call.

The Rest
- After a relatively low scale invasion by the USA the UK had a major battle for the South East today, however they managed to win the penultimate mini battle with Phoenix support and then the battle closed as their peace treaty went through, meaning the UK now has a long RW campaign to return itself fully to the map.
- Hungary and Romania have continued their conflict in the Balkans, with Hungary conquering two Romanian regions whilst Romania have been helping Ukraine remove Hungary from their nation, although that is currently only half way done, with Hungary still holding the important grain regions.
- France has been removed from Canada after the invasion fizzled out whilst France and Spain continue their regular skirmishes.
- Tensions in the Baltic as Lithuania and Russia invade Latvia, putting them down to just one region whilst Finland invade Estonia yet again.

Other News
- Bulgaria's pro EDEN CP signs MPPs with 8 EDEN countries although there are still many anti-EDEN people in Bulgaria.
- Bulgaria complete their region swaps in Iran.
- Macedonia and Bulgaria propose Natural Enemy on each other within minutes of each other, the votes are looking very close at this time.

That's it for today, sorry its a bit long and sorry I couldn't go too in depth on some of the conflicts, but I'm sure there'll be even more exciting events next time.
