Schmidt Bogdan and myself are joint Ministers of Defence, we have been keeping the MoD newspaper up to date and I urge you to check it out for the latest news and battle priorities. This is the nineth 'MoD extra' I am publishing, I do these as there is more to be said on top of what goes into the MoD newspaper. I don't want to over do it with the MoD paper and I would like to bring those that are interested, a little more MoD news, without those that don't being spammed.


Wales

The UK has been in talks with Poland about returning Wales to the UK. Talks concluded recently and a RW was launched to claim it back.

For months Poland has hung onto Wales with the UK's blessing. The UK suspected an attack from the USA, however the prospect of this happening in the future are very remote. Poland has an non-agression pact with the US, where the US will not fight via MPP against Poland's allies (UK included) or in a direct war against Poland's allies. This pact lasts 3 months with the possibility of extension. Poland will still be in the vacinity and even if it isn't, the UK is in a much stronger position than when we originally asked Poland to remain in Wales, with strong friendships and trust in many places.

On timing, there is a lul in current UK and global fighting. Action will resume shortly so it is a good opportunity (for the UK and Poland) to transfer the region. There was a short heads up on this for all UK Commanders/those in the military mass messages, however it was not a direct heads up as if it had been said the UK was going to RW Wales at day change people could have sponsored it early before the UK fighting force could come online, and the UK would lose rounds due to this. As it happened the RW was still started early.

Scandinavian happenings

Anyone who has read any of these MoD extras before will be aware that I have looked at the possibility of gaining regions in Scandinavia (more than just Vestlandet).


I have labeled the dark blue on the left 'United Kingdom', the dark blue on the right is Sweden. Romania is in yellow.

As you can see Latvia has lost one of its conquered deer regions to Sweden. This means that if the UK can get past Romania (the yellow label above) then war could be declared on Sweden to try and gain their deer region. These regions provide Romania no benifit as none of their Scandinavian regions are linked to their capital. There is discussion about this in the cabinet IRC channel (as well as many other things) and I will continue to bring you updates on this topic, if/when they come.

'Global Plague'

If you spend anytime looking at stats, you will see the global population is decreasing at an alarming rate. True, this could be due to the admins stepping up a campaign in removing multi-accounts, but we should not risk it. We should seek to go out and actively buck the global trend.


Who is responcible for the decline in player numbers? Plato, or players?

People should get involved in the improvement of the eUK, believe me everyone starts off thinking they don't know enough, but chances are if you have the time to spare you can make your eNation better. The MoD has got someone working on some educational, military based prompts, but if anyone else has some image editing skills get in touch!
