[UK] Frix4CP

Day 2,815, 03:28 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Max Blue

Here is a collection of information on what a term lead by Frixios2000 will look like:

Military policy:

'Proper negotiations' with the Argies.

Last month the UK got one region from the Argies for 50,000 CC and a further region for free later. This deal was done quickly and the UK signed a Non Aggression Pact (NAP) for a month meaning the UK was prevented from freeing more regions. The deal with Argentina expires with Argentina on the 5th of August (today). This leaves the door open to:

- Negotiations on a new deal.
- Fighting against Argentina.

Frix will explore negotiations to the full and see what benefits can be delivered via talks before resorting to hostilities.

Economic policy

Planning for the future of the UK

'The UK needs to be more competitive and the only way to do that is to help our young players become competitive. We need more grants and more schemes. The way the country is we are completely buggered economically, so when we have more regions and we get the majority of tax returns I will put a work tax rise to 5% to congress. This will fund new schemes and grants.'

I hope for a day when the UK can be powerful enough to occupy all of France or the USA if we so desire. If we do not invest in our young in a serious way, this will never be possible.

Education policy

Community groups

Community groups will work in a similar way to the SAS PM's. These messages will be about everything but military news/priorities. These will be full of UK citizens of all abilities and people from the MoEd team will assist in passing information on. Citizens will also be able to pass information between themselves and other citizens such as articles they have written, foreign affairs info they think others should see and any tips or beneficial things they think fellow UKers should see like free food/weapons articles. The point of this is to give citizens a group they can talk in outside of their party and their MU and to meet and interact with other UKers; whilst also communicating government messages to the people more effectively.

Article direction

There are two new dynamics for educational articles:

1) More articles to be posted in the 'first steps in eRepublik' section of the news. Although this section in not read as much as others, it is possible new citizens are going here and not seeing any articles, as educational articles have often been posted in 'military analysis' and other (relevant) sections.

2) Take what Max has done with education further; more articles that can educate the whole of the UK population, rather than aiming articles at just the newest players (as this Ministry has done in the past). No one knows everything (even players who have been here years), so articles should aim to inform all of the population. By doing this we will improve the knowledge of all our players and a more informed UK is a stronger UK.

For example how many players know why Canada occupies a region of Ireland? How many people know there is a hidden page of hidden eRepublik short-cuts? And how many people know every detail of the Dictatorship module?

Cabinet

Vice Country President (vCP): Cheetah Curtis

Ministry of Defence (MoD): Paul Tyndale and Sir Jimmy Savile

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA): FightAndProduce and Aleksander V. Popovic

Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA): Karacitus and Max Blue

Ministry of Finance (MoF): Mr Immanuel Kant

Both Paul T and Sir Jimmy have been Ministers of Defence before. FaP has been a MoFA before whilst Aleks has not, however he has been the Country President amongst other jobs so he should have a strong understanding of that a good MoFA looks like. CC is a highly experianced player and article writer so he will make a strong vCP. Karacitus and myself (Max Blue) have both been MoHA's in the past and MIK has also had previous in the MoF. The cabinet is strong, and so is this article... well at least it has risen above cabinet puns.
