[UK First] Onwards For Me

Day 1,082, 08:45 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by GGRyan

It's times like this where I dont know how to feel, really!

On the one hand, it sure is a release when you lose the mantle of being President. You dedicate so much time to it. I woke up this morning, and for the last month I would have to wake up, skip watching my favourite TV program - Soccer AM - to make sure the eUK is safe and sound. This morning, I reminded myself I didnt have to do that, and it felt like a great weight had been taken off my shoulders. You work day and night to make sure things are well, and boy we've had to do that. I have to thank everyone in my Cabinet for their work this month, in particular Thatcher, who keeps our money in order. Sir Humphrey Appleby, who did go above and beyond in his role this month. Frerk, who was epic and has turned into someone whom I count as a really good friend. Blaggard, who has maintained and will maintain consistent service into this administration. If your name hasn't been mentioned, it wasn't that you didnt do well - it's that these guys were the stars of my Cabinet.

And then I had Daniel Thorrold. A guy who has been a rock in my Cabinet, and a Deputy whom I perhaps didn't utilise enough. People dont give him enough credit for just how skilled, active and hard working he is, and he deserves massive thanks.

Then I turn and look at the military guys, and that one special girl - Artela. People have been complaining at her about the way she ran the military, the way she made the reforms but those people are all stupid. She is awesome and incredible, and she works so amazingly for our country and its Armed Forces. Supplemented by the amazing team in Count Drakula, tlawson and Rawdon to name just a few, our Armed Forces and Command team is one group whom I will sorely miss.

There are then other individuals who helped make it bearable. Smack helped where he was needed and worked amazingly hard in the campaign to have me re-elected. keram10 and John Rupert Miranda setup and ran the InterCon summit, which was a great success for eUK diplomacy. Tomaz stuck around and kept things cool even though his Ministry never did get started. Then, my great (OKAY greatest 😉) friend Maddog Jones, who always did back me even after I had to screw him over. That caned and its something perhaps I didn't have to do and might not have done had I more experience, but as a new President it was the right thing for me to do.

I do stand to lose alot though. First off, it is actually good fun to be in charge. You dont have to sit around and see if your ideas will be implemented; you implement them.

And then, I stand to lose some aspects of the community. Like I said, Army Command is just an awesome gang, a really great bunch and I will be removed when someone can be bothered from their private IRC. That's said, and I'll miss that. I'll miss being a part of everything and anything, but hey, on I go.

So, what is next for me? Well, I'm going to have the honour of serving alongside Hugan as his deputy in the Phoenix Department of Internal and Foreign Affairs. I have also switched party; the RFA is not what it ever was or is supposed to be, and I need a change. I have joined the United Kingdom Reform Party and hope to be an active part of changing the eUK political scene; you heard it here first, right TUP? 😉

Oh, and then, maybe Kevy will give me a jerb in the MoHA.

h00ray.

Ryan
