[UK CP] Day 1 and The UK Cabinet

Hello all! I thought I would inform you about what I have been doing today as the UK CP and introduce you to my cabinet.
Congress
I have sent out two mass private messages (PMs) each PM contains all the members of my cabinet and half of congress (it is not possible to fit all congress members in one mass PM). Each of the two PM's contains half of each political party so there is balanced activity and discussion in both.
Congress have started talking about work taxes on their own. I would like to talk about this but not just yet. I would like to discuss whether we should be looking to create a dictatorship for the benefit of the UK. I am mixed on the idea, but I think it is important we discuss the option before the window after a revolution ends and another coup can be launched ends. This is very soon.
Democracy or dictatorship?
We need to set out the benefits of each and the drawbacks of each. Then we shall discuss the matter and then every UK citizen will get a vote in a referendum. The question: Which option is best for the UK? The answers will be: Democracy. Dictatorship. Abstain.
This will give the UK clear direction on what we are to do in this term, and it records active players that chose not to vote, thus providing accurate turnout figures.
Norway and renting fruit regions
I have been contacted by the Norwegian President, he says his nation wants to continue the rental agreement for two of their regions. I have informed him the UK would also like to continue this deal. This deal provides us with 100% food bonuses which go along nicely with our 100% weapon bonuses.
Organisation accounts secured
Minister of Finance 'keys' jny123 has taken control of all of the numerous organisation accounts the UK has. This is a huge undertaking to get the old passwords, change them and update the vast MoF spreadsheet Huey George made. Unless you were around to see it you would think the MoF is an easy position - it is not.
Using this spreadsheet we will continue to keep track of UK income and we will crucially keep UK assets secure.

Fataliix returns to the MoFA. Ser Fartsalot joins him as my second MoFA.

Paul Tyndal and WookieO are looking after the MoD so rest easy tonight we are in safe hands.
Deputy: Neil Lewis and Alexander Atem.
MoHA:
Aaron Mark Daniels remains in the MoHA but moves into the entertainment side. Mad Pauly joins him as my second MoHA, and he will focus on the education/information side of the department.
MoF:
Last and by no means least Jny123 is the UK's Minister of Finance.

Strong looking Cabinet in the key roles imo.
Only concern at the moment is, as I mentioned on IRC, the wording of the referendum question- its inherently loaded towards a 'yes' vote. Let's give everyone a chance to put forward their own ideas on how the eUK should be run, whittle them down to two options and then decide the wording of the question and so forth.
One thing that is clear is that we need to coup the eUK and have a dictator in some capacity as soon as we can, to protect against any malicious threats. Lets get Woldy in as was suggested and then go from there as to deciding long term.

Need to make sure that the terms and implications of the two are properly explained; otherwise we'll get what we had in Huey's referendum. Personally I wouldn't label them democracy and dictatorship, but A and B. Because at the end of the day we need to have a dictator in some capacity, otherwise we are helpless to foreign groups
(what A and B entail should of course be figured out before the referendum)

Having a dictator is a good choice to prevent threats. However, from time to time the revolution side gets determination bonus.
and, BA/people who dislike dictatorship and rich,, will set a CW after some weeks annndddd....
the 200k cc will be wasted for nothing.
Make sure that you give Dictator to a random person, bound to end well 🙂
I handed it to one of the eUK's most successful CPs... hardly a random person. Nothing I did has done the eUK any harm

We just had a referendum.are we going to have one each month, last time we was told not enough people voted.
I'm sure the IDA could help us in any battles involving dictators !
I think its very easy to overstate the impact that the IDA could have; them helping as, and being successful are far from certain- the best way to ensure our security is just to have a figurehead dictator that we can trust; for example woldy
That is twice you have mention his name if he wanted to be dictator he should have run for CP but he didn't until then keep him out of it ! no more unelected dictators you could have given it to Huey but you gave it to wayne Good Move so I don't think anyone should listen to you right now !

Having the same person as CP and dictator could be worse. It's far harder to get rid of them (revolution then impeach). I'm sure we can find someone we can trust

What I did does not make the points I am making any less correct; if you want to play the game of who's done more things that are 'bad' then you would lose. Regardless of your opinion Dapper, Woldy is trusted by the entirety of the eUK and would be a good choice.
We cannot simply pretend like forig dictatorship isn't a threat. It is and it has already claimed lots of nations

To be meaningful any referendum should be voted on by a significant number of people. How are you going to make sure we don't get a rerun of the Huey one?

Suggestion: the result of a referendum is only valid if turnout is at least as high as the previous election (whether it be CP or Congress). At least that way the referendum carries as much weight as other choices made by the population.

that would never happen as their is too many multis in the uk ! who only vote on election days ! getting 100 was very good if people dont vote that is their problem if they dont even care enough to read the media why should we care the problem is MULTI accounts last week i found about 10 2009 accounts that are proper multis someone is still cheating bigtime here
Are you worried you'd have to fire up all your multis on referendum day as well as when elections are on?
