[UK Army] Can you spot the Link?

Day 1,171, 13:55 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by The Royal Navy

Yes it’s finally happened…

The eUK Military has triforced!

After a few weeks of discussion and a vote (although we maintain we are not a democracy :3 ) We have re-organised, so not only have we bought back the Para’s and the Navy, but also the RAF, the SAS and the SBS while maintaining the current branch, the British Army.

But let me fill you bit of history. It's been a year and 4 months since I first joined the eUK Navy. Back then the most people you'd find on the IRC channel was 10, and I have since witnessed many, many changes to the military.

The first day I joined, the IRC was bare and inhabited by a few captains and also players like R. R. Napier and fezoj, members I, and many others, still hold in high esteem. It even included a plucky young private soon to become the famous Tom Morgan. Back then the Navy was well kept and organised and efficient, yet primitive in places. We had hub problems going from a website with every sailors name data based, with no real way to keep track to Polio's hub which even today is one of the best. We supplied 3 Q1 weapons to the entire fleet without fail every day, and travelled the eWorld.

All that pales in comparison with today’s military, however. It is almost unrecognisable from the Navy I joined; it's a much grander operation requiring many man hours to keep track of the battles, organise each regiment to make sure they're in the right places. In my months, the military has come over some criticism by different people for various reasons yet it's adapted and carried on as normal. What people don't see is we have changed to incorporate those criticisms.

But now is the toughest choice, which branch do you join?

Let’s see what the CO’s have to say!

Sven Goran Duran Duran – The Royal Navy
“The Royal Navy comes with a proud and interesting history, a wealth of talented players and a good mix of new recruits and oldfags.

We have two vessels at the moment, the HMS Tom Morgan and the HMS Jan Baykara each with their own Captain and crew.

Promotion to special forces is into the SBS.

Any potential recruits that like the sound of rum, ships and seamen should sign up.

Tlawson2310 – The Royal Airforce
” The RAF is a Branch within the British army and is ran and looked after by Woolfie Smith and Octavian Ratstrangler. In the RAF you get to fight alongside the Army, the general population of the UK and our allies in huge battles that rage across the world; but as this is the RAF you get to do it in style.

If you think you have the ability to look that “stylish” then sign up and join us in flight missions to defend the UK from the oppressive nature of those pesky foreign countries.”

Betafoxtrot – The British Army
”Not only is the Army the best branch, it’s the coolest too. Whether you’re guarding HRH King Woldy within Fortress London or driving through Ireland in a tank you’ll never have more fun.

Not only do you get to travel the world fighting wars alongside the Navy or the RAF, once you can transfer into the one, the only, Para’s! So what’s stopping you joining? The ladies love a soldier.”

The Army has arguably kept me playing all this time and it promises to keep me playing a lot longer. So what’s stopping you from joining me?

A Soldier.
