Congratulations! You have been elected to Congress! After you have hung that shiny new medal on your wall, now what should you do?

The first thing you should do is sign in on the national forum, where you should scroll down to the Congress Debate Area and find the monthly sign-in thread.

If you wish to follow the tradition of donating your medal gold, you can find instructions there, as well.

This is where you will find debates on law proposals, including MPPs, NEs, tax adjustments, and programs to help our citizens. When debating, please consider this excellent advice from our neighbor in eNL: Debating Should Be Fun.

You will also use these debates in the forum to link to your in-game proposals. Without prior debate, a proposal is considered illegal and Congress members are advised to vote no.

During your month as a Congress member you will find alerts in your in-game in-box that tell you a new proposal is up for vote. Click on Proposal to go to the proposal and vote on it after having followed and read the debate link.

By going to the Country Administration Page, you can also make up to 2 proposals a month. Just follow the instructions to enter the appropriate information, including the debate link.

By clicking on the Society Tab, you can also access pending citizenship requests by clicking on View requests.

You will normally get one citizenship pass per month. Please visit the immigration section in the private area of the Congress part of the forum to get advice before using this pass.
