Oh boy,
You dun goofed.
If you guys don't know, New Era actually gave us an offer this month. One which gave us a conundrum which is still continuing. But while we were discussing our options a WRP member says how they received a recruitment message from BigAnt to join New Era. This is confirmed by another member who has received the same message. Unfortunately I have no screenshot of the PM. Only what the recipient of the message copy pasted onto our discussion message.

BigAnt, here's a lesson to you. If you want WRP support. How about stop screwing us over.
Other small parties, be careful. I've seen small parties used as weapons against TUP by New Era. Don't let it happen, and if they support you in congress. It's probably because they're nicking the small amount of members you have and want you to support their candidate when the elections come along.

To be honest, the "non-poaching pact" between political parties was never a thing that people expected New Era to abide by, and if you did think that then you're an idiot. If New Era desire to poach -which is considered morally wrong- then let them do so; so long as your members enjoy being in your party then you have nothing to worry about. In a way, the poaching of New Era gives you an idea of whether or not you and your party need to up your game. And IRL political parties attempt to "poach members" all the time, and considering New Era typically try to introduce real life things into the game it's not all too surprising that it has been a key part of their party.
tl;dr summary:
-> New Era never agreed to "non-poaching pact"
-> New Era will always attempt to poach members
-> Successful poaching just means you and your party need to up your game
-> New Era are just trying to copy what many real life parties do
I was membership secretary for the Cannock Chase Labour Party and In no way were we asked or encouraged to approach other party members. If we did so it was because we were unaware they were members of rival parties. However your point falls short in that we never once offered people to join in exchange for ''food or supplies'' from ASDA or anything else they needed to get through the day or when it was there birthday, or had a productive day in their life...so to speak.
You can't compare underhanded actions to real life when they fall short when you hold them up to real life scrutiny.
I was not making my point in referral to their offer of food and weapons but instead as a general point. As for you stating that your RL party did not use these methods, I am sure that other parties -if not in the UK- use these sly methods to attract members.
That is good advertising for New Era that is smart ! Dude you need to drop your hate , this goes on all the time it's called a game, anyone can mail who they want I didn't see you say anything when Alice was mailing all New Era members, it's time you left New Era alone and take your hate articles elsewhere .

The recruiting of other party's members is an interesting dilemma in my mind I agree with a lot of what both FightAndProduce and LongShotzZ have said...I feel as long as the information is fair and balanced in the recruitment it should be okay as each citizen has their own mind however if it's misleading it can lead to the frustration and lack of retention of newer citizens made promises not delivered....('grass is always greener argument').
I'd say you can equally have a voice, opportunities and a chance to represent the UK in Congress or at ministerial level at both the Workers' Rights Party and New Era. The differences in the party's ethos, internal mechanics and how your views is represented is what needs to be considered...

I suppose there is nothing wrong with Invalidation joining New Era then as well (nothing in the game mechanics saying he can't) as he would like more of a democratic say that he doesn't get elsewhere....

TBH, poaching members is the only way to get to a Top 5, considering, you know, that the game is dying.

btw a party of 11 once managed to get a CP, so they are better off joining SKA rather than New Era!
...and that party of 11 produced one of the best CP's in my time in this game.
