[Trito4CP] The Case for a National MU

In this article, I will explicate why I think our nation needs a national MU.
1. Strength through Unity
A national MU would unify the nation to a point we haven't seen for at least 8 months. Military Units in eRepublik have an ability to develop a sense of camaraderie among many disparate groups and ways of thinking, since eRepublik is a war game in the end, and an MU is about war.
A military unit has no room for political bickering or arguing, because the national MU would be fighting for eIreland, that's it!
The commander of the national MU would be chosen by their peers, eIrish citizens, to lead the nation's military, and the CP, as commander in chief of the nation, would have executive war-making abilities, but with the consultation of the commander of the IA and the approval of congress. The divisiveness we see today in eIreland can be solved with a national MU!
2. Strength through Organization
When all of eIreland's top fighters are spread out across several MU's, it is difficult to organize our damage effectively, in which case, those top fighters may be more inclined to fight without communication with others. A good example of this is the Dude MU, which produces most of our damage. How can we make sure that everyone is on the same page, with the same plans and strategies?
We have a national MU!
In addition, over time, the IA would manage all of eIreland's CO spending, and that information would be shared to the public as often as necessary. We could set up communes and have elaborate supply schemes based on citizens' contributions to eIreland's damage.
Most importantly, with a national MU, we could effectively use the regiment system, having an elite regiment, 2-clicker regiment, airwar regiment, maybe even a ghost-booster regiment.
3. Foreign Policy and a National MU
Just as it is embarrassing on the world-scale for eIreland to have such bitter political disputes, so it is embarrassing for eIreland to have a totally disorganized military structure.
Having an organized national MU, with effective leadership and clear results on the battlefield, would strengthen our image across the world. Our allies will respect us and our enemies will fear us. It would also become more likely that we join an alliance, once they see the strength we have, not from brute force, but from organization and unity.
Funding
Regarding funding of a national MU, I believe it should be undertaken by private citizens for now, with supplies helped by a good commune system.
We are under occupation, and anyhow too cash-strapped to pay for supplies as a nation. One day, however, we will be strong enough to do that, I am sure!

Ireland has too few people for any of that to be a benefit.
A group message of 30 people is enough slots to just message active fighters. Anything more "complicated" than that is a waste of time.
Ireland doesn't have enough active people to fill all those regiments as you described to even have enough slots full for captains to be in any of the regiments. It would actually be better for those to not be regiments in a single MU but all separate MUs.
COs can still be out of a single MU regardless of how many there are. And it shows in game how much was spent. It's already a transparent process.
Communes should already be run by private funds in the MUs that already exist. Forming a national MU will not get people to all of a sudden start making communes if they aren't doing so already.
CO's may be transparent, but I would like to see gov. articles on where we spent the money and how much.
Also, I don't think there are any communes in any Irish MU right now.
I don't think there are either. That's why i don't think they will pop up even if a national MU happened.

Multiple MUs allow for multiple COs eg. One MU sets it at 58% another MU can set it at 52%
A NMU can be a nice addition: as a focal point for newcommers and as an overall generator of further community activity.
However clearly the major issue is the desperate need for more active fighters/players. The NMU should be a component in the overall strategy to achieve this.
Agreed. A national MU is not a cure-all, but it is a part of the solution of the stagnation we are suffering.
If anyone actually agrees to do it. You always talk about it but never state if anyone even wants to participate in it.

No... Damage is needed. And of course, it would be better for the Dude to return to what it used to be, with Irish Army branding, no?

Ireland used to punch above it's weight once upon a time. Unity and coordination made all the difference when we had a national strike.

The "National" MU would in fact be taking instructions from the MoD. Your proposed MoD, Moomoohead, is a proven traitor so the Nation MU would be de facto run by a traitor to Ireland...This is YOUR plan.
Why anyone in their right mind would buy into your plan on this is beyond me.
