"Toghether, We Can Do It": a welcome speech from eMelbourne's new mayor

Day 216, 09:24 Published in Indonesia Indonesia by Jiro

As we know, [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/profile-352221.html]jay300982[/a] became eMelbourne's new mayor after winning the last elections on the 20th. Jay already posted his [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-366572.html]welcome speech[/a] as the new mayor, but unfortunately, the speech is still in Indonesian.

Because of that, eMN deliberately translated the speech while cutting the jokes aside, so former eAustralian citizens living in eMelbourne could understand what was going on and work together with the government to create a better eMelbourne.

So, without further ado, here is the translated script.

"Dear citizens of eMelbourne,
First i want to give my thanks and gratitude to you all for all the trust you give me to let me lead this region.
I hope in the future, this region could become one of the leading regions in eIndonesia.

And before i forgot, to other mayor candidates for this period, forget about elections and let us all work together for everyone's sake here in eMelbourne,
and consequently a prosperous, peaceful eIndonesia.

At times like this, i suddenly remember of an old proverb:
"You don't swallow right away sweet things, nor you spit right away bitter things."
And by that, i am talking about our veteran eCitizens, probably starting to get bored with erep and thinking about resigning.
Please, stay with us. Remember all those joy and tears while playing this game when you think about resigning.

And now, back to main topic.

As we know it already, 2 (now 3) days already passed since our last mayor election, with me appointing as mayor now.
And now, as the new eMelbourne mayor, i declare our motto as;

"Together, We Can Do It"

I hope, with this motto, every eMelbourne citizen, and i mean everyone, could participate in my programs
for a prosperous eMelbourne for everyone...

And that programs are:

1. Welcome To eMelbourne
This program is here to help our national program, INDOGRAK, for a distributed population throughout Indonesia's region.
I hope every instances involved with this program to give every help they could give to would-be transmigrant to eMelbourne.
By the way, would-be transmigrant heading to eMelbourne should contact me, the mayor via PM or YM, so i can prepare some
"welcome gift" for you.

2. Melbourne Charity Fund
This program only applies to eMelbourne citizens with wellness < 60. 3 of those citizens will be picked at random on the 15th and 30th
to be given charity fund. The catch is, they have to be online at the time, and if noone is online on the first draw, it will be accumulated
on the 2nd draw (as in there would be 6 people to be picked)

For the success of this program, i accept donation from donors living in eMelbourne as an official sponsor. To apply, you only need to contact me
via PM/YM one day before the draw to register with this format:

Name/Company name - Motto - Amount of money to be donated

Easy, isn't it? Every sponsor participating in this program will be mentioned and will be listed and included with the prize, so in one way,
you could treat this as an advertisement for you/your company.

3. Bike to Work
Okay, i admit the name is a bit off, but i pick it nonetheless because it sounds cool, hehehe.
This program is aimed to help the jobless in eMelbourne. And because of that, i hope for cooperation from the GMs around eIndonesia.
To apply, you could contact me, again with a PM or via YM with the following format:

Id name - Industry division of choice - Your skill point of said division

And also, please include your profile link, and make sure you already post your CV.

4. Medical War
Actually, this is a program inherited from the previous governor. The main idea is we'll give Q4 medical treatment
for eIndonesia' soldiers living in eMelbourne.

And with that, i conclude my short speech. If there's something that offends in any means, i ask for your forgiveness, as i am a mere mortal, with room for wrongdoings.
