"There is no fate, but what we make" - Luke Peters for EPIC Party President

Day 1,053, 08:17 Published in Canada Canada by Luke Peters

If I am elected as your Party President this election, I am not going to promise that we become the top party of eCanada, I’m not going to promise that EPIC gives the next Canadian Prime Minister. What I will promise is that I will continue to push for transparency in our government. We are already leading by example; every detail of EPIC can be viewed publically.

As your Party President, it will not be my job to lie to you or the media; instead, it will be my job to guide our party forwards. I can promise that I will not allow personal bias to affect my decisions and that I, in conjunction with my chosen Vice Party President and any other members of our party leadership, will continue to move our party forwards in any way in which we can.

We currently have 3 companies of which none are active; this is purely because it is impossible to make them profitable the last time we checked the numbers.

I believe that every single one of the ~150-200 members of EPIC is equal and should be treated as such. Electing me as your party president does not make me your dictator, it makes me your representative. My inbox will be open, as it is now, to anyone who wants to talk about anything; and in my role as Party President, my advice may be worth a little bit more to those who matter. As the president of the number 2 party (as it stands) in Canada, I will be representing the largest group of Canadian citizens aligned with a party after DAL and that is not an easy job to fill.

As a previous Party President, I have managed to get to grips with the tools available to Party Presidents (which are, unfortunately, limited).

As your Party President, I will be able to promise that we investigate all means of money making available to us, I plan to look at the profit/loss likelihoods for all 3 of our companies and look at where we can gain money quickly without a large initial outset. We have 3 companies available to us, Ironworks in Spain, and Theraputic Combat ~hyuu~ and Mayflower Moving Agency in Canada. All three of these companies are potential profit makers if used in the right way and at the right times. If we are able to get the gold needed during my term, I may even consider purchasing a raw material company for the party which will further increase our revenue, especially if combined with one of our existing companies.

I intend to use the previously tried and tested method of Country President candidate selection which I introduced to EPIC during one of Sperry’s reigns over EPIC which is the Alternative Vote/Instant Run-Off Voting System. I intend to open the floor for candidates to step forward on or around October 23/24 with voting beginning on or around October 27 with the candidate to be announced on November 1 in time for the presidential elections on November 5.

I can proudly say that I joined EPIC the moment I came to Canada and I have not left once since then, and that is something that will remain the same; whether I become your Party President or not, I will remain with EPIC for it is where everyone is equal and everyone counts. I want us to continue that.
