[Swifty] Another economical article
Swifty
As a student of Economics and Accounting in Ben Gurion university, I found the economic part in this game quite interesting. Most of it work like it should be in the theory of demand and supply. Although the cheating and the multi accouning ruin some part of it.
Anyway I want to talk about some problem in Israel, but first introduction. In a closed market if all the companies and all the citizens have 100 gold together it will be always like that and that gold can only move between them. The companies are paying wages and the workers are buying the products. The company will be able to gain only the money that the workers have and they have only what the company are paying them. If we look at the country as one unit we can say that the country has 100 gold.
Now if we will take two units (two countries). In the first country there are grain and food companies and in the second only food companies. You need grain to make food. The second country will have to buy grain from the first one as they can't produce it by them selves. Also lets say that every country can produce enough food and they are not buying from each other. In this situation as you can imagine eventually all the money will be in the first country as it always selling and not buying anything.
So what it has to do with the game?
Israel don't have any raw materials so we are importing all of them from other countries. It doesn't matter if they are exporting to Israeli market or if we are comming to them are buying it from their market. The bottom line is that we are paying them and the money is going out.
There are some ways for the Israeli market to gain money. The first one that I already mention is exporting. The second way is when new citizen reach level 6, if he get 5 gold than the total gold in the country is higher in 5 gold. The same thing is when a citizen gain 5 gold from a medal. Another way is when someone from different country come with money. That of course also making the total money in the country higher. Btw that is the reason why tourism is important for countries in RL.
There are aslo few ways of money to get out of the country. The first one is importing. The second way is when someone using gold and buying\upgrading company, or when someone buying wellness packs. And the last way is when someone with money leaving to other country.
As we don't have many new citizens that reach level 6 and we are not getting too much medals, we have to start exporting much more, or else we as community will become more and more poorer. I think you already noticed that there are not many high level companies in Israel, and many are closing down.

Actually you are going way too far into macro. Citizens are developing and their demand grows as well as companies are upgraded and there are some fluctuations in times of war and peace. Of course, we need export, but you cannot be without import. As far as the fighting goes on in New World, our weapons will still be in high demand and so is our food.
Good article, I always like this type of articles.
I didn't say that we need to stop importing. We don't have raw materials and we can't change that, so we must import. To balance that we must export.
It doesn't matter how much food or weapons will be sold in Israel. The money will go from the citizens to the companies and then from companies to the citizens again as wages. In import the money will go to the companies in other countries and from there to the citizens of the that country.
Israel has medium grain! Medium grain is not NO RAW MATERIALS!
Voted. I love this economical articles, but I love too to read the good economical comments answering.
BTW. there is a part of the gold which is going outside the country by importing Raw Materials like IRON, DIAMONDS, OIL, WOOD and even cheaper grain if it is possible 🙂
i think medium and low resources as good as nothing. a general manager will look for the cheapest raw and medium/low can't compete
so why the game made regions with low/medium raws, it's not fair.
they should make it a fair competition. 😒
good article, i agree with it completely ... i think exporting would be a wonderful way for us to have a better economy, i have tried to get congress to consider getting with companies and helping them to get export licenses. no luck so far 🙁
@silvery
i think the low/medium regions are some mechanism error in the game.
in my article i refered to a problem which is that a region have limitless capacity of production, so if you put 100 companies, they will all produce as if they were alone!! the game could be modified where low\med\high does not affect production efficiency as it is the case now, but production capacity..
Filthy... handing out government funds to private companies is never a good idea. Government run companies exporting is one thing but giving away gold to private companies with no guarantee of a return on our investment is...well, its reckless.
The other major problem is all of our stock is low Q... its Q1, Q2 stuff that is stock piled all over the world. Unless you are exporting for the lowest prices in the world, very few people are going to buy Q1/2 food or weapons
In my opinion the only way of becoming eIsrael more powerful is specializing in a manufacture and selling it to others countries. however, this can be only done if the goverment create a stif structure of companies of that sector which is not really difficult here as this is a little country.
My opinion: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-tarnegol-g-the-future-of-eisrael-853589/1/20" target="_blank">http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-tar[..]/1/20
I very much agree with what you said about our econmy and the importance of exporting.
But, I do believe that exporting is an unstable solution. exporting can stop as fast as it begins and it is dangorus to rely on it alone.
We should back-up our econmy by convincing people to move in to eisrael.
I believe, that only an econmy that relys on both options simultaneously will be able to "survive the test of time".
neadless to say, immigration to eIsrael has sevral other possitive affects on our country wich make it maybe even more possitive then export.
Thinking about this article I have took the next conclusions:
1. eIsrael has not raw material. This is not fair, but this is the reality.
2. As the real world, the game is globalized. eIsrael should look for solutions out side our borders too.
3. The best companies of the richest countries could be eIsraelis. We should create companies where the conditions are the best to be the most competitives.
4. The best army is a good economy, victory is not posible without gold.
5. IDF should be an organized estructure of companies and workers around the world. We should imagine our work as a battle acepting wages that permit our companies to be the most competitives in foreign countries.
6. The principal weapon of eIsrael is the love of many citizens to eZion, and this love is the reason because an eisraeli can accept to work in bad conditions wishing first the eIsrael profit.
7. eIsrael should be the recruitment center of volunteers.
Love to eIsrael, hard work around the world and a global organization mean a FREE EISRAEL.
