Dear Reader,
This morning ,13-04-2010, I posted a suggestion on the forum by Home Affairs. I am not gonna copy past the whole suggestion into this article but ask you friendly to come to our forum and discuss with us.
When we, and our congres, will give the green light for this our politics will change forever.

Yeah, just like currently we don't have favouritism when it comes to making governments? You make me lol. Especially the forming of this government is an example of how things work out right now

Replied on that on the forum.
The pro's of a president based governement is that voting day is the decission day. The president needs to prepare his plans prior to the election and then present himself and his cabinet for these elections. All the talks on who does what, what the plans are per department etc are decided PRIOR to the elections. When the president then gets elected he and his team are ready with their plans and can kick into action straight away.
The current system means the congress vote creates the start of negotiations on who will govern and who not THEN we select ministers from the different parties and THEN we write a program adn THEN we... oh.. next elections are almost due.
Our governments are formed after long talks on the coalition and then on long talks on how many minister posts each party gets.
Our country has had some good governments, but I think we can do with more efficient administrations.

It's a shame I don't have access to that forum. Would love to read that discussion. We in South Africa use this system and it does work. And like dionysus says friends-politics and more elitism happends anyway whatever system you use
