Tegnap délután már kezdtem kicsit elkeseredni. A cikk nem jött, a támadások viszont egyre inkább, és bizony sokszor végiggondoltam én is, hogy mit lehetett-kellett volna másként tenni, hogy jobb legyen. Aztán egyszer csak valaki bedobta a linket a chatszobába.

Mindenkinek volt hát dolga bĹ‘ven. Minden miniszter Ă©s minden rĂ©gebbi, tapasztaltabb játĂ©kos ott volt, segĂtett, állásokat tett ki, nyersanyagot szerzett, Ă©s válaszolt, irányĂtotta az Ăşjoncokat, cikkeket Ărt, fordĂtott, szervezett ezerfelĂ©... olyan összefogás volt ez – mĂ©g ha vitáztunk is közben egymással nĂ©ha – aminek Ă©n, mint elnök csak örĂĽlni tudok. Olyan összefogás volt ez, amire kevĂ©s pĂ©lda van, mind IRL, mind a játĂ©kban - de amivel hatalmas tetteket lehet elĂ©rni!
GeneráciĂłk keze nyĂşlt ki egymás felĂ©, Ă©s adott, kapott, osztott Ă©s segĂtett egymásnak, hogy a mi kis eMagyarországunk jobb lehessen, több lehessen, az lehessen, ami lenni tud. Yesterday afternoon I was a bit under the weather. The promised article was not coming, while the attacks and accusations were thick in the air, and I have thought it over many times; what could I have done better or differently so the results would be more? Then suddenly somebody threw in the link and I started to read.

It was then only in the technical section first and many mistakes made me troubled even as I was glad that it appeared at all. Then it made into the title page of index.hu.
And suddenly the new registrations and asking for invitations have started to flood our capacity. The citizen counter started to fly and people started to flow into our chatroom too. And we were all glad for it, but it meant also a lot of work... or I should say tons of work. In a scant few hours, we had over 2000 – no mistake two thousand new people in Hungary and in Romania, in the occupied regions... and they all tried to make sense of a new world, fight with bugs and they all asked and asked and asked...
So we all had our hands full. Every minister, undersecretary, congressmen and every other older, more experienced player was there, helped whatever he could, wrote articles and translated them, organized, put out job offers, helped to get raw materials, directed the newcomers and answered to their thousand questions... it was such a cooperation – even when we did argue some during it – but it was such cooperation that made me, the president ever so glad. It was a cooperation that is rare to see IRL or here in the game – but which can achieve enormous goals!
Generations reached then out towards each other, gave and received and dealt and helped each other to help us all, to make this small country better, to make it what it could be. So that we can dare to be great now. So that we can hold our heads high and go to battles with chance to win and after a winning battle to plant our flag high! Because we can, as I have always known. We missed two thing before; people and cooperation. Now we have those. Now we are capable of achieving dreams. Now we can do anything.
Dear newly registered players! I thank you for coming here, for coming to help us, for whatever reason it was that made you come here and take part in this game. I wish you to enjoy it, and I wish that you could find what you came here for, and I wish to all of us that a beautiful, rich and proud Hungary would be built here.

I have some difficulties believing this... over 2000 players in ONE day and because of ONE article in a country the size of Hungary? And some spilled over to the Romanian side? Such a flood has not happened even in the US. I find this too astonishing to be real...

Erwin, its all about the motivation.
You have on one hand a crippled hungary, a romanian oppressor, a proud IRL nation with a twist of nationalism, some historical IRL arguments and a good placed piece of IRL media. a truly successful mix.
i talked about the power of IRL motivation with Quicksilver before, and we both agreed its hard to beat. I really hope they can capitalize on those newcomers, and then it will be our move
Erwin, Hungarians can be really motivated in online competitions. You may heard about clickclickclick.com. This was a competition ruled by Japan, but after one single article on index.hu, Hungary became - and still is - one of the major powers of the game.
And also Hungarians become EXTREMELY motivated if it's about defending their home country.
@ghishae: Yes, I am aware of the impact of nationalism in this game. I was there during the Great Rush when Finns joined to reclaim their lands. Still, we never received some 3000 players in one day. Granted, our nation is smaller in population but if we look at the much larger countries and the flood of new players they have received in one day due to a marketing campaign, we notice that they never reached this high amount of players.
Regardless if this swarm of new players is legit or not, it will be a mixed blessing to your economy. Time will tell if they act as a force of good or evil.
Erwin: another factor is that now you can register directly and not wait for an invitation. and the hungary-romania relation is like a game of cat and mouse.
Maybe some of the new players made some clones already, but this is not important right now. What is important is how many players will be active in hungary in a 2 month time span.

speaking of economy, i wonder what measures did the hungarian government took to employ such a work force...
If figures in eFinland are of any indication of Hungary's situation after 2 months, my guess is that around 60-70% of the new players will become inactive. Depends how long the animosity between Hungary and Romania lasts, of course.
Erwin, we were extremely fortunate in this. All the marketing factors were just right and just at the right time.
And we hope to keep about half the players; that is the highest estimate.
As for legitimation... our people made a sort of eAPI, that I do not understand in the slightest, so cannot explain, but they told me that it is proof of real people joining the game and not multiaccounting. I do know that some such might happened during the night, but I think it was insignificant. Real people come in such numbers.
The country has great stocks of food and the majority of players are employed in state run companies which produce grain and food.
For now, yes... until they reach level 2.Afterwards... we have plans.
I do wonder though if the software will take a company with a thousand workers.

Az IRC azĂ©rt lehetetett "antikommunikatĂv", mert hirtelen sokan voltatok, de ez le fog tisztulni, ah elvonul a roham. Olvass vissza a mĂ©diában (Community-Media), az utĂłbbi cikkekben nagyon sok segĂtsĂ©get kaphatsz a játĂ©kkal kapcsolatban. Ezt persze minden Ăşj játĂ©kosnak ajánlom. Aki akar nekem is Ărhat PM-et, válaszolok szĂvesen. Sajnos 5. szintig nem tudtok harcolni, tehát a holnapi támadásban mĂ©g nem vehettek rĂ©szt, de a kĂ©sĹ‘bbi harcokban (ami a játĂ©k mozgatĂłrugĂłja). Mindenkinek kitartást kĂvánok, mert az elejĂ©n mĂ©g nem sok mindent lehet tenni.

Láttam, hogy holnap csata lesz Szegedért. Én új vagyok, nem tudom mit kell tennem... Elég ha lefejelem a monitort, vagy hasznosabbat is tudok csinálni?
