Okay, so a brief update on the events of today from my perspective.

We have had quite the drama today. The big criticism I’ve been getting today Is
from Sven, who is obviously quite upset at my handling of a lot of issues that have arisen this week. In some parts of this, I can accept blame- I accept that acted rashly in expelling Goku from Congress discussion after his comments in the Congress meeting on IRC on Sunday; but I can assure everyone who reads this, I took that decision because I thought there was a genuine risk that Goku was acting against the interests of the eUK.

I categorically deny any conspiracy towards New Era or Goku in my actions. I have applied the same rules, although somewhat perhaps draconian, equally to all. This month two congressmen were excluded from Congress discussion before Goku; this was Atohn from New Era and Pitcity from TUP. This was because both were a member of Asterian MUs and could therefore not be privy to sensitive Congress discussions.

When making decisions like this, I had no guidelines to follow, no rules which I could point to to guide me. I had to make a judgement call in a split second, and if my actions have caused you to lose trust in me, then I’m sorry. Regardless of whether I believe I’m in the right or not, losing the faith of a Congress member is a serious issue and I will do everything in my power to restore that trust.

The attacks on my character that I had launched at me today are probably the worst feeling I have had in my time playing eRep. It genuinely hurt, especially the references to the Nazis. At one point this afternoon I was seriously considering quitting the game because of the amount of stress its been putting me under over the last couple of days.

So I have spoken to Goku this evening, and we both agree that we have said and done things that perhaps weren’t the wisest in the circumstances, and we have both agreed to try and move past this. So that’s what I hope Congress will do over the coming days, as we get back to doing what we should be doing; not bickering, which I think all sides have been guilty of.

I know that at the moment we have three separate proposals moving through Congress currently, one to motion the removal of New Era congressmen from Congress, one to Impeach me and one to remove TUP from Congress. If any of these motions pass, I don’t really have a lot of choice; and will obey each one that is successful.
