[Spanish MoFA] A statement of gratefulness and purpose.

Dear citizens of Indonesia, I’m so glad to be writing this statement to Indonesian people as a gesture of our enthusiasm due to the signature of a MPP between us, coming after weeks of talks between our representatives and patience.

First of all I’d like to say that I know that for some of you it can look hard to deal with us because of our position opposite Brazil, even when you recently had a conflict of interests with them, as they’re your friends, but we hope that our mutual goals and our mutual efforts will lead to a lasting friendship between our countries that will come stronger everyday.

Today we’re here to thank you for the opportunity you gave to us, the support some of you showed in our last battles and to tell you that we’re waiting for the moment when we can return the favour.

As I said, we have common aims across the seas, we have common friends, and I wait for the day when we fight, celebrate and suffer together too.

Until that day comes.
