[So4P] Sophia Forrester for President

Day 1,497, 12:08 Published in Japan Japan by Sophia Forrester

Even the day after Congress elections, candidates for President are already announcing themselves. Today, Hello Kitty Party President Yoshi Midori announced his candidacy, with Team Nippon member BobbySauron close behind. Although Team Nippon has endorsed Yoshi Midori, the parties still have time to change their endorsements. With that in mind, I wanted to say a few words about why I am running for President.

In mid-December, I was asked to be the candidate for President of the United Lolies of Japan. At the time I felt like eJapan was headed in the wrong direction. The Congress was inactive, and the President was treating the position like a joke. I talked about my feelings to members of the party and also in an interview before the Congress election. Now that I am back in Congress, I hope to take positive steps forward to bring our country back to the right direction.

By myself, I can't reach the future I hope for. I am counting on both Congress Members and private citizens to work to move eJapan forward. And in order to do that, I am running a campaign for change and renewal in our government.

Whether I am elected President, or simply remain in Congress, I want to do all I can to help eJapan. So for the next few days my focus will be in Congress: The forum needs to become more active, and our institutions, like Speaker of the Diet, need to be revived. I am hoping that by running for President, I can have an even stronger impact than in Congress, and over the next few days my articles will go over a few of my hopes for eJapan.

Thank you for listening. I would love to hear your own hopes for or thoughts on eJapan's future. Please leave a comment below, or if you prefer, you may message me directly.
