POPULATION AND STRENGTH
In this article we'll have a look at a Phoenix strongest member, Serbia. Statistically Serbia is to become the country with the largest population. It already has the most active percentage of population and it does the strongest battle damage. We may ask ourselves: what makes a country become such a superpower? What drives its people to play in tens of thousands of numbers?
Besides having all a common goal in the game, a good quality media game environment, a dispersed but effective militaristic organizational structure, experts in various fields of game knowledge, there is one specific thing in Serbia that they say is keeping them in the game. The stubbornness. Serbia's national goal is to conquer neighboring Croatia and they say one thing. They'll play until they achieve it.
That's where their numerous population comes from. But where does Serbian strength come from? How come they do the biggest battle damage? The answer is simple: part of it comes from tanking. Tanking is the most expansive method of warfare. Countries use this method by paying 2 gold pieces per extra fight, usually used on most powerful soldiers. In some cases tanking is self funded, sometimes it is government funded, and in Serbia's case, it is government funded in large amounts. In the first battle for Lionking, Serbia used 12.000 gold for tanking.
BANKRUPCY
The first battle for Lionking started at 3 AM local time and lasted for 2 eRep days. Not everyone fought on the first morning, so the second day required much more. Serbian president decided that Lionking victory is a must, so he borrowed the necessary gold for tanking and succeeded to out tank the enemy. Spend 12.000 gold on it. The battle left Serbia in large dept, yet it was a success, because it made the enemy spend much more.
One month later, the second battle for Lionking starts just before the day change and as is usual for large battles, goes to overtime, so it lasts for 3 eRep days. Couldn't have happened better for Serbia, even though they fought in Rhoine Alps the first day, they've been now able to engage two full times. They won this one without further dept.
LIES, THEFT OR MISMANAGEMENT?
But after all these battles comes a new day. Country now owes 8000 gold. The current president promised attack on Croatia, the people are expecting it, but there is almost no gold to do it. The economists are comparing the two Lionking battle costs and now the accusations start. It turns out there's been some mismanagement, beside the debt. It looks like that during first Lionking battle the country monthly income has vanished.

Dear Jock, seems like some facts are unknown to you.... Maybe just a quick info... Serbian population on its own initiative started a campain where they collect money (no matter what currency) for to launch an attack on Croatia. the estimated costs are said to be 3k gold (for attack on all the regions) and this is the amount they are collecting on the account of org Ratna sekira.
Serbian president promised to attack Croatia when the money is collected.
All other stuff, with due respect, are just insinuations without and should be disregarded till somebody actually gives a proof.

Ratna Sekira fund is public inititive. I know of that fund. With this money, Croatia may be attacked this month. But if it doesn't happen before V2, many Serbians will leave the game, disappointed about the government mismanagement, and the fact that they have to borrow money to defend itself, spend a lot of money to liberate others, and never have enough money to attack Croatia.
We didnt bankrupt, but yes- 2 battles for Lion did cost a lot.

Dont worry Serbia isn bankrupt,as a matter of fact we almost have whole amount for atack on Croatia,we will atack them sooon..😉),as for Lionking concerns we have spend allot,but we will repay our brothers from Phoenics every gold they loan to us with an interest destroyed Croatia,Central Greece for Turkey,Alaska,Hawai,some Canadian region for brothers Russians..😉,high grain for Bulgaria...and so on,right know we are preparing for PoLoLand we see they chose to come and atack lionking..😉)
And one more thing dont worry about Serbian people evan if we bankrupt we will manage and survive we have exelent RL teachings..😉)
@Jack Jockson: We have two major groups that govern the country. One is commonly called "Bagra" (it means scum, the name given to us by people from the other group), while the other is SeS+SDF. The "Bagra" government always leaded the country successfully and before SeS+SDF took the power (in the last mandate), our bank had +10k gold. SeS+SDF successfully burned down all that money, shut down some of the mechanisms of making money and put eSerbia into debt. Now Bagra is back and we are returning debts made by incapable SeS+SDF government and will continue to do so. We are not bankrupt, we just have debts that are going to be returned by the end of this month.

That is good explanation. A lot of things often depend on good government. I wish you success with the next battles, but remember, money is not important, but the battles just before V2 will be very important. Cheers
