[SDP] Party Presidential Manifesto.

Day 967, 08:26 Published in United Kingdom France by Melophore
I had to delete an reprint because of insulting comments from the opposition, I hope this does not happen again. They got as far as a Godwin for calling me Hitler a numerous amount of times, this of course has been remported to admins. The fear of a free election played fair seems to scare them.

Motivations

I don't need to remind people all that I have done for the SDP. When I moved in there were only four members, when I left our electorate was three times the seize it was at the last Presidential election. We had 188 members. I never really wanted to be party president forever, but with the current decline of the party's electorate, membership, and a complete lack of innovation force me to run again and get the party back on the right tracks.

Voting for people like Rory Winterbourne, Maddog Jones and Blandman will only make things worse, because they plan to renew party operations to the few people that are responsable for this decline. Some might say the decline was my fault, it seems my only fault was to hand them over absolute control over the party.

Freedom of expression is at an all time low, the court seems to be inoperationnal because some people erase or modify certain statements. Democracy is also at an all time low, over half of our electorate did not want to see Betafoxtrot as our National President.

I might start on a strange sentence. My eLife's ambition isn't to run and win elections. When I set up the Social Democrat Party from the bottom to the top 5 in under a month. A new hope was born for many eUK citizens and the party was promissed to a good future.

Why am I running again ? Not for the love of power, Party President is a real job where you get pushed around a lot, by your party members but also by public opinion and senior politicians. I am running again because I don't want to see this party go to waste, hijacked by private ambitions and sunk. When you have removed the "Social" aspect and &quot😉emocracy" calling yourself the Social Democrat Party is a bit of a joke.

We are facing a really catastrophy, most of the embryonic structures I was starting to set up at the end of my last term haven't evolved since. There has been no interest into improving structure to get the party forwards. A few experience players have joined to bring their "superior knowledge" of party management, and we are yet to see anything interesting.

We are facing a double catastrophy, and the warning signs are all there. I left the party with 188 members, we now have around 177. It took one month to recruit 188, but two months drop members. There has been a decline in our membership that can't be denied.

Our electorate is fading. When we ran supporting PCP in Elbanaans campaign the two parties got 200 votes in may. Alone in the following Congressionnal elections we got 136 votes for the candidates that got in. A month later, we barely got 56 votes. Losing half our Congress members...

The party has lost it's soul, and we have paid the toll for that. The feedback from the population is eloquent, the SDP is falling as fast as it appeared.

We need to renew with our "tradition" A new citizens party for new citizens.

Measures that will be taken upon election.

-Have you noticed ? In the last term, Rory Winterbourne initiated no assistance to party members concerning V2 ? That is something I would have done, and I think it is the minimum we can do, as a New party founded by new players for new players and not the corrupt "old players favour old players" set up by Maddog and Rory. I think we should really mobilize a lot of time and effort for V2 guides, I will personally run this programme, and put in a lot of time towards it.
The housing programme was abandonned, the mentoring programme was abandonned, the party company programme offering 0.48GBP an hour for each party member was abandonned... There is nothing left of all these great schemes that helped the party prosper !

-Favouring inside talent over people that simply turn up for the cake ! I will put those who have put in a lot of constructive effort into the party, especially those that helped building it up, in pole position to be running for the front roles.

-seperate Party functions from govermental functions people running the party should not be involved in government. A Nation is run is the best interests of all, not in the interests of a group. The same thing applies for a party, the party should not exist just for a few to get elected but in the interest of all it's members. You can not be a party exectutive and a government executive, since you can not favour a group over another. I'm all for SDP members to get involved in government work, but they should seperate their national ambitions from party ambitions.

-an instauration of an Electoral team to diminish individual ambition and the "me for Congress" attitude. Each member willing to run for Congress will have to prove he is a usefull asset to the party and the country through his work. If it is recruiting, tutoring, mailing. Every candidate will have to show he or she puts the party, it's members and the citizens of this country first. Every candidate will have to had worked once on the elections before he can run. No more rewards without merits. This will be concrete because we will set up an HQ organization to fund and operate election campaigns.

-Creating an Companionship. More experienced players will have to accompany the newest members and the newest citizens, guiding them and giving them advice. Every new citizen accpeting a tutor will get a free Q1 weapon a day, and every tutor can get a Q1 weapon off the party companies for 1 GBP per weapon per student.
Why ? Because helping new citizens is a duty that every SDP members owes to himself and the party. Also the eUK has a lower population than other countries. Between 80 and 90% of new citizens give up. What we don't have in quantity we have to make up in quality. It will also let us cash in on any eventual babyboom.

-Creating an inner liaison inside the party. Too many members feel ignored in this party that is supposed to be there for them. They only get messages when Congress elections come up asking for their vote. We need to get a constant feedback from our members, we need to address their problems and help them out if we can. The HQ organization will have to keep in contact with members outside of major elections to collect our members impressions, problems and wishes for the party, the country and the future.

-A return to recruiting and helping new citizens out. We are a grassroots movement, let's not forget our origins because of one or two Congress mandates. The new ambition will be to aim for the third slot, and get close to 300 members.

-No CP candidate for the SDP UNTIL we have a corps of policies.

-At last, fixing our electoral alliances. We are a centre-left party. This won't change. We will establish alliances with Spectrum, PCP and TUP. For those that get into Congress, we need to get some measures that we hold dear become reality.

-A clear out of the forum, and a more strict management of the usergroup. Some people aren't in the party spirit, others are in the usergroup without being in the party... I could name a few people that would need to go if they can't learn from their mistakes. I can name them fairly quickly, Kaiskais for having putting his personnal ambition above the benefit of the party and Rory Winterbourne for his complete mismanagment of the party.

-Enact a new electoral code to make sure nobody stagnates in a mandate forever, thus giving new citizens and members their chance to get into the spotlight.

Why would SDP members go on with this ?

All those with ambitions will have to use their energies towords improving the party, and make sure our candidates have REALLY got what it take to improve the lives of eUK citizens.
A return to a higher turnout of active members on the forum will help us elaborate policies, find new ideas and bring new life to a failing party.

As Party President, if I'm elected, I pledge not to run for Congress or for Country Presidency. I'll invest all my efforts as I did in my previous term for the party, and running the party for it's members and for the country.

I fear that a new establishment has installed itself at the head of the party, and is repeating the same mistakes that lead people away from traditionnal parties.

Party Cabinet
To get all this done there will be a concrete party cabinet with dedicated SDP members wanting to get the job done.

The party president will be elected. If I win it will be me.
