{RSU} Rusty D policy paper
Rusty D
Greetings eAustralia,
As previously promised, I have managed to finally sit down and write my policy paper. But unfortunately I am yet again doing it by phone, so I will not be able to distract you with fancy line breaks and images.
Well, most of you should know me by now, some actually like me and get along, others have likened me to a "Genocidal Dictator". But for those who don't know me....
I have been plating the game for over 1 year, while it has been a short game time, I have managed to succeed in many areas. Early on in my elife, I was sent on J Seemore ambassador program to fly the Australian flag in Iran. This was my first foray into the world of politics and FA. From which I have learnt many lessons and made some good friends.
From there, I have been lucky enough to lead the ADP and ACP political parties numerous times, several cabinet spots, congress seats, CP of Australia and also aSG of NEBULA several times. But enough about me, let's get down to policies....
Over the time I have been in eAustralia, I have seen and tried to implement many initiatives to help grow Australia. Not only the new citizens, but also the mid level ones. I will be continuing to put into action plans to help our citizens with training grounds, energy centres and also with their factories.
I see Australia growing and I want to ensure that our citizens are given a helping hand, not only so they can enjoy the game, but also so they can fulfil their dreams and become successful in this game.
eAustralia has had some steady savings going to the RBA accounts. While this is good, the rate of savings is very minimal if you are to compare it to other countries and even to overseas MUs. I plan on doubling the RBAs accounts by the end of my term. This is plan is easily achievable and will be one of my priorities.
The reason I will make this a priority is to a) help safe guard Australia by having funds available for self dictatorship b) funds available for potential COs c) funds available to ensure initiatives are followed through and always available for our citizens.
As I see Australia today, I see that we have a good standing in the community. However I believe we have been neglecting some of our allies and friends. I plan on ensuring all our allies know that we are still standing by their side and ready to assist them in a time of need. I also want to reach out to friends of the past and nations that we have not had close relationships with.
All in all, this will be my second priority. To ensure that Australia is known around the eWorld as a nation that people can trust and one that is always there for them.
As someone in charge of one of Australia strongest MUs, I understand the concept of war in this game. Between fighting for Australia and in an Australian based MU (which ensures the damage is credited to Australia), I have had a lot of experience with TWs and successful ASs while being CP of this nation.
One thing I am promising is that I will not lead Australia into a fruitless war. If push comes to shove and we do battle, I will ensure that we are successful. Unlike other CP candidates, I don't plan on conducting any ASs, as they are always very expensive and normally the pay off's are not worth the investment. How ever I do plan on at least two training wars that will be very fruitful for the medal hunters.
Please, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments section or via PM. As stated at the start, I am writing this on my phone, so unfortunately I could not include any kick arse line breaks and images, but also the information I have given might lead to some questions.

Sorry again for the wall of text
I've seen bigger walls of text. Well written Rusty.
Thanks Lany.
If an AS was privately funded, i.e, not from government funds, would you support it then? My understanding from discussion with gbr_blue is that he intends to fund the strike entirely himself as CP.
That said, good article!
It would depend on the target Clum. As every target has bigger geo political repercussions. Like the AS on Denmark effected relations with Germany and their allies. If the selected target is someone with powerful friends, we will not only fail to land it, but become a target ourselves.
One of the TWs that I mentioned does involve a AS, but it will be a perpetual TW like the Japan and UAE one, providing long time bonuses to players and our coffers
Best of luck in the coming election.
Cheers dedit, I think there is a string candidate field this time, so it will be tough for everyone.
Really sort of an open ended statement about doubling the RBA funds.
You know I am against any sort of tax hike due to nobody takes any sort of real figure and puts it forward, it is all "I have watched it and it would be good for us to increase taxes"
How do really expect to do it?
Also which statement is correct?
"I don't plan on conducting any ASs, as they are always very expensive and normally the pay off's are not worth the investment."
"I have had a lot of experience with TWs and successful ASs while being CP of this nation."
Are they successful or do they not pay off?
The financial one will be revealed if I win. I have been dealing with in game finance for almost a year with my own Org and I do believe that I could double the RBA funds with in a month.
AS a not viable, due to our MPP stacks it cost's loads in energy. The two that I conducted during my CP terms were a TW/resource war one (which in terms of tokens was viable for us) and one on Cuba, which financially didn't net Australia massive riches, however it helped an allied nation out and also put our standing with other nations in a higher regard and won us more powerful friends (it was privately paid for AS).
And a cabinet?
Specifically, how will we double our savings?
Would we see the tank bank become operational?
Which neglected allies are your priorities?
A few more details please, curious fish is curious...
Cabinet: ID = vCP, Argi = MoD, Sai = MoFA, MrMunster = MoEE, I wanted J Seemore as MoF but he is unavailable 🙁
Money: as I replied to Guag (saves me rewriting it)
Tank Bank: had always been operating, but I will try and push it harder. Same as an additional Energy Grounds element. Plus other things that I have tried to roll out in the past, including the media release payments etc
Allies: Considering we have not had a MoFA update, I will be first contacting all MPP members, followed by Asteria and NEBULA members before reaching out to fringe friends. We need to establish good communication with them, even if it is once a week check in phone call like we do with our parents or a everyday chat like we do with our beer drinking mates. This way we can help reaffirm our friendship and be ready to support them when needed.
Also via articles released in their media which can be used to sell our nation both as a friend and possible place to visit
How many people has the tank bank helped? Haven't seen a word about it...
I know that I have sponsored 3 or 4 people. Ilene is the one running it, I know she is currently swamped at work. But when she released it, there were not many people taking her up on the offer, so I want to try and push it again, even by including it into welcome messages to new players, same as the JDS etc
I offered to sponsor 2 people, at least one of whom made the effort (hence my PM about that to you, and you said it was inactive). If we are going to make these things work, they must be visible (e.g. via articles) and they must not fall asleep in midstream... :/
The issue with keeping it active is if we have no takers, it begins to feel like a lost cause. Hence my desire to include it in a welcome PM to new citizens and also ensure it is always linked in government articles along with the other programs
Full Support!

Not only into government articles, we have to do it in all party announcements, because this is the way to inform our young and active players about our schemes.
Agree with you J Seemore, even the likes of the ADP paper/article frenzy we had last week, a space should be dedicated to the government growth programs. Also with in the Party threads etc.
The more people shout it, the better retention and pick up rates we will have. Only the other day in the ADP thread someone was suggesting things for a newbie program, these things should of been spoken about
Just to save you saying it again

ADP
Rusty, we cannot advertise gov growth programs when they do not exist. This is why the ADP has taken on support of our noobs. Those "things that should have been spoken about" are also "the likes of the ADP paper article frenzy" that seems to disturb you.
Make up your mind- and stop putting people down for trying to help the country, ok?
What has not existed?

Cheers mate.
Nice manifest.
Thanks EFP
You'r welcome.
But please think about next...
During this week MU where i was didn't organize hitting to destroy objects. Inactivity problem is sky high.
2nd, is there any bank for poor people to help them upgrade TC's on max?
There is already a program called the Tank Bank, Ilene Dover set it up and was running it. If you look back you might find it in one of her newspapers or an older edition of the CP paper (sorry I don't have the link handy).
You know there is always a great Australian MU.... However alot of the joint objectives are only attainable by large groups of fighters, my MU is powerful over a week period, but to do the 4 odd minute objectives, we don't have enough fighters
We can't promise any incentives, because we can't even be certain if we'll be elected. In other words, the article I wrote was a particular waste of time to most readers. All that's really up for debate is Foreign Affairs and Finances, which there's no recent updated/released information regarding.
(Foreign affairs, there's info regarding TW's and whatnot, though no actual chart that indicates our stance with nations around the eWorld.)

So, I do believe it's just a popularity contest, between the names of the players, not the agenda's of the parties. Come election day, we will see.
Actually, I liked and voted your article- it is always good to see people making an effort to improve our retention of younger players.
I would love to see someone make a map that shows our relations with the rest of the eworld. Big effort, but...
As to a popularity contest, I consider eAus voters smarter than that.
Yes, but you're one fish in a big ocean, JackTrout.
(Pun intended) 🙂
The map wouldn't be hard to construct, though do we even have relations with all countries in the eWorld?
You could be a genius and still jump on a bandwagon, you could also be considered a dumb-witted person and yet vote based on what you'd like to see. In other words, popularity contests have nothing to do with the intelligence of the voters.
