[Rhone Alps]Hope Can Only Carry so Much

Day 945, 09:00 Published in France United Kingdom by Dishmcds
Dear friends in France,

Over the last few days, since the release of Rhone Alps and Aquitaine from Spanish occupation, there has been a lot of news regarding what path to take in this. There's a lot of frustration and anger, including a President who is too quick to jump to conclusions, while not really taking into account the cost involved in the operations we've carried out for 7 months.

I do not pretend, nor will I that France should not have Rhone Alps. It is a French region, and we've worked hard for the last half of a year to ensure Freedom to France. With the Spanish being removed, we've finally accomplished that goal, after tens of thousands of gold spent on Wellness Packs, attack costs, region swaps, and lost hospitals. These expenses are undeniable, even by those who would have you believe that we have not been faithful allies to the French. They've spent just as much if not more, just to hold it from you.

The Spanish have never been your friends. They've invaded and occupied you on two separate occasions. The Polish have also invaded and occupied you, keeping your regions for nothing more than their attempted bridges to South America. If a country can be fooled into thinking that enemies, who have on at least three separate occasions tried to occupy and oppress them, are better allies than those who would spend all their Gold to free them, then they are worse enemies than those we fight on the battlefield every day.

-I do not pretend that RA is not valuable. It held a large portion of the Spanish and Polish companies, however, they also held the Polish and Spanish workers, which outnumber French Land workers by a large margin. The French have enough land workers at the present to occupy 100 companies.

-I do not pretend that Hungary should not come to an agreement which is valued to both sides. They need to be reasonable in long term goals. If your friend stays in your house, you expect him to clean up after himself.

I sincerely hope that France and Hungary can come to an agreement, and we can remain good friends as we have all worked hard for months to see these days. Unlike those who have mocked, fought against, and pushed for your oppression and dependence, Phoenix has worked hard to save a non-member nation because of our past allegiences, not in spite of it.

Citizens of France, I hope you choose your allies wisely. We are not the reason of your anger, but rather the hand you asked for in your time of need. All we ask is to be treated respectfully in return. I'm sure Cerber, EDEN, the Spanish, and Polish would be drooling all over you at this point, telling you how sorry they are for your occupation. Considering they're only doing so because it's over, I'd suggest trying to read between their lines before thinking they're better friends than any of us.

Sincerely
Dishmcds
