Join the new world

When you begin eRepublik, you'll be in the same position as the rest of this eWorld not too long ago. The game was very different in Version 1, but when eRepublik Rising came along, we were all thrust into a new era where we would have to adapt or die and that is what any player will have to do.

Your eDay could be a very short one or a very long one, depending on what you do with it. You spend 24 hours but dont worry; you dont have to be around the whole time. Time really is like money here - every day, you spend it how you want it, and then you can log off or you can do so much more. But, got any idea where to start or how to do it? If not, we can give you a little insight in how to get going on eRepublik!

Our dear friend Plato should have shown you how to get a job, and shown you where everything is but he really isn't that great at talking. He just sits there and dictates, every day. However, getting a job is important.

Top Tip - Make sure you get the highest paying job with only ONE star next to it. This will help you no end, as it only subtracts ONE wellness every time you work!

Anyway, as soon as you have a job, get to the Company. Here, you should work every day - this will earn you money and your skills will get higher so you can earn even more money! However, you will lose happiness for every hour you work, so be careful to get the balance right! The longer each day you work, the more money you earn because you earn per hour, and the better you work, the more of a skill boost you get, so it pays to be healthy and happy when you work!

After that, you can head over to the Training Ground. You can build yourself up into a great soldier, but you lose one wellness each time you train, and one happiness every hour you train. Make sure, though, you train yourself up mainly in only one war skill; rifles will be cheap but weaker, tanks the strongest but perhaps more expensive. Every day when you train, remember to train in the skill you choose, although, if you join the eUK Army early, they might help you choose for the good of the military!

The Library is another good but not vital place to go in your day. Here you can study to build up your professional level. To stay ahead of the game, try to give even one hour over to studying, so you can continue to demand the highest wages in your industry. You lose one happiness per hour in The Library, though, so manage your time wisely.

And then at the end of the day, head over to the Residential District where you can claw back some of the happiness that you've lost over the day by doing an entertainment activity for whatever time you allot to it. You need to make sure that you can cover the happiness lost through the day in this, and your food - but, if you pay more Gold, you can gain more Happiness (money makes the world go round).

But wait, there's more!

It'd be cool if Party really was an alcohol-fuelled, happiness boosting party, but its actually the HQ of your political party. Its important that you choose the right political party for you, because this party could be your springboard onto the political stage as a Congressman, or as a President. Remember that they all operate on the UK Forum, so be sure to get down there if you really wanna get involved.

Your Newspaper is a key way of getting your point across. For a nominal 2 Gold fee, you can use your newspaper to broadcast almost anything to the eWorld. Everyone who is anyone has a newspaper, from the Government to the Presidents to the simple player on the street, preaching to the World about whatever he wants to preach to. Get one, it might be useful later.

The Country Info Center is where you can get all the military, political, social and economic stats about your country. Useful for newspaper articles, information project gathering or simply just to have a look where you are in the world.

Chat Rooms are nice, but IRC is where its at in the eUK. Really, though; the ingame chatrooms are kinda suckish, so communicate with the eUK on the Rizon server at #eUK. If you need any help with this, message this organisation or just join the UK Forums. Then, you have the Advertising Agency; this is where you can pay to broadcast ads to whatever your target audience may be. You can advertise anything ingame - an article, a political party or maybe just your own profile, just anything!

The final thing Downtown is Organisations. Here you can pay 5 Gold to start an organisation. There are many benefits to an organisation - you can use it to buy products across the world, start a company and another newspaper. Organisations are good when they have a purpose, so get a purpose and then get yaself an org!

As you can see, the eWorld is a vast place and there is way more to do than just what Plato tells you to do. We really would love to see you at the UK Forum, where you can expand your game into the eUK community and make a name for yourself in the eUK, and perhaps the whole eWorld!

It is good to note that above 50 wellness, the effect of your food and house is halved so you should buy the very best food you can afford, and perhaps invest in a nice house to boost your stats. The better your stats, the better your productivity, the better your pay and the better your eLife!
