A Little bit about myself
I joined the game apx. two months ago now and got onto the forums for p.much day one. However on my first couple of days I did not end up posting at all but was just reading through other people's conversations and arguments. It wasn't until I joined the RFA forums at the time that I started posting regularly. There wasn't anything different about the team 2 months ago and the team now, I think the main difference was the immense time and effort put into the role by the man at the top, GGRyan. We did well in the congress elections and membership increased. I say this, because we've have been proven that it is possible to make this party better in one term. In the ministries last term I got involved in both the MoFA and the MoHA as a diplomat, media team and messaging team member. I think my progress has been relatively quick, and although I still see myself as a newbie I don't see myself as below others. I've tried to contribute in most topics in the HoC this month, I hope to continue being a valuable member of Parliament for some time to come. I really am running for PP because I care about what happens in this party and know I can improve it, you don't get TMs for becoming PP, but you get double the work of being a congress member! I think it's important that I recognise this from the start and can proudly announce to you that "I am willing to do that kind of work!"
My VPP for this term
My VPP for this term is going to be DarkMantle, this is because he has been the one, I think, who has shown the most initiative and enthusiaism into trying to come up with ideas to help the RFA. His ideas for Recruitment, Outreach and Publicity I hope we can put into action and I hope we can work together to make this party a better place to be! He has a good knowledge of Tech and hopefully we can use some of the ideas coming from the MoTech and use it for the RFA!
Communications
I would say communcating effectively to your party is probably the most important thing in being a good Party President. This is why if you elect me as PP I will be doing a report every week beginning on the Sunday after the 15th. This way, it doesn't allow me to go inactive, you see what's going, can feedback on it and can give me any suitable pointers you may want.
PMing- This will be put in charge of the Communications Director (see below under "New larger Party Leadership"). At the start of my term as PP, every member of the party will be PMd. The PM will basically say, "Reply if you receive this message whenever you receive it." So even if this player decides to log on two weeks from now, he should reply two weeks from now so we know he is still active, this way we will then have a number of players that are active ingame. These players will then be PMd every week with my weekly report and any other Party issues of interest eg. mobile voting, voting up manifestos etc. Also, every new member from under lvl 15 will be PMd regularly with news about how to get on the forums and how to get involved in the Party. When you are as young ingame as that the more messages you receive the better as it makes you feel less lonely and more a part of something!
New Larger Party Leadership
I think another problem we have been seeing recently is lack of activity from the people in leadership, generally all the work has fallen to the PP and sometimes that's not always worked. :? This is why I am going to say that I will introduce a new larger party leadership. With more people involved with more specific jobs we can make sure that there is always something going on in each of the below areas. I have spoken to a couple of people about roles already but as of now applications are open.The new Party Leadership would be as follows:
PP=Me!
VPP= DarkMantle
Party Communications Director= he Party Communication director will oversee any PMing and Articles, and will be responsible for keeping the party up to date on everything that is currently of interest!
Party Ambassador/eGlobe Representative= Currently our eGlobe alliance is dead. No other way of putting it. It's not really much of a "Global" alliance with just two members so the eGlobe represntative's main job will be scouting for suitable new members. The main Phoenix countries would be a good place to start and hopefully we can get eGlobe to become a thriving and active alliance!
Party Treasurer(Fund raising)-he Treasurer shall be in charge of keeping track of, and boosting the parties funds. This includes running companies and creating projects to help raise our income.
Recruitment Officer: They will be in charge of sorting out our decrease in membership.More details on this below.
Internal Party Affairs and Entertainment-Keeping our members active and happy is a hard job to do, yet the Entertainment Officer shall be in charge of doing so.
Party Fund Raising
I'm hoping to get more Gold into our party accounts to help us fund some advertising and a food program. I hope we can get some Party Companies up and running which will be under the eye of the Treasurer. In addition to this I have a couple of ideas:
1. Congress donation- In the days running up towards the Congress elections, we will start an advertising campaign to advertise our candidates and the party. In exchange for this, every successful congress candidate should pay 1 gold from their TM to the party. This way, people only have to pay if they get a Treasure Map in the first place. it is not too much of a cost, after all congress TMs should be seen as a bonus and not as a neccessity.
2. 1GBP a day makes the happiness project go our way- This is an idea that was come up with by Ben Clew. If Emergy Maxfell agrees to allowing us to use his project to help the RFA we could help sustain it by doing this:
Every active RFA member earning more than 0.50 a day should donate 1 GBP a day. This is a very small amount that if we get 20 members doing daily it would generate 2+ Gold a week. We would then use this money to stock up and advertise our "Happiness Project" scheme. Let me make two things very clear, This is just an idea and I would not force anyone to be a part of it, but if we are going to compete with the PCP advertising of which it seems they have an unlimited supply of Gold, we are going to have to come up with something ourselves and I believe this could be it!
Recruitment
This party is currently losing members.It is not only losing members according to the rate eUK is losing members but it is losing members according to the rate the other top 5 parties are losing members. If we do not sort this out soon, we are going to be below 100 members before we realise it. The gap between us and the PCP is currently 14 members, as you have probably noticed they are advertising everywhere to try and stop this gap from closing. By the end of my term as PP, my aim is to at least have halved the between us and the PCP, although this doesn't seem like a lot. With them spending all this gold in advertising campaigns you can be sure they are doing their best for recruiting too. As above I hope that if we do get to launch our own free food project that this would bring in some new faces. we will also be PMing every member of the PCoalP party to try and convince them to leave their shell of a party. But if we want a real surge in activity there really is only one option.
Congress
I find it rather annoying when people say stuff like:
"RFA isnt a party" Mr.Woldy
"Tis an alliance of non like minded individuals." IndieKid
"RFA: fggts who are just in a party for the sake of a party." Shadow
But the truth is, in the RFA, what are our aims, what is our purpose, what are our objectives. I agree with Goku Jones here, our policy cannot be, "we don't have one." Because people join a party according to their view and generally most people have one. One of the things I would do as PP is to try and give the RFA an identity something which we really don't have at the moment.

I am not going to put forward any more than this for the moment, this will obviously be something that will be debated heavily upon.
Party Whip
At the moment our congressman are like a group of independants, sometimes voting against each other and occasionally not bothering to vote.
This is why I think we should enforce a party whip to policies which are in our "Current Policies and Manifesto" section in the RFA Suite. At the moment we have only two policies which I think should be expanded.
As to the Congress Elections on the 25th I think our aim should be to get more "active" congressman through into congress. I know there has been a particular congressman currently who has been pointed out as inactive, but as a more wider point, it gives the RFA a bad name if we keep putting votes into trying to get citizens through who we know are not good congressman. I would active congressman to continue to run for the 25th as we need experience to balance the new. However, if you honestly know you haven't really got the time to be an effective congressman I would encourage you to step down in favour of new candidates who haven't had the chance of showing what they can do yet.
And Finally two words "Radical Freethinker"
I want to encourage more "Radical freethinking", I want the RFA to be a place for people to be able to express any views on how they could help the eUK/party/the game and NOT be trolled or be put down for it.

Most of you have already read this, and I'm sure you will agree that more was achieved in this one rant than in the entire month. I want to encourage more discussions like this and to try and transform what is "a shell of a forum"(GGRyan
As you can see from the length of this manifesto, I really have given a lot of thought about this manifesto. It has been about 3 days of work thinking up of ideas and then slowly adding to it. You wouldn't believe it but I actually have more ideas than this! However I wouldn't want to make this unreadably long!
I'm asking you this month, to take a risk, elect a new citizen with new ideas. As I said above, I'm willing to put the work in to being PP.
