[RB] Getting to know Pierre Dzoncy

Day 2,270, 19:01 Published in Ireland Cuba by Master Peaux
I've been itching to write an article lately, so I thought I'd make it an interview. Special thanks to Raven Anarcho for this suggestion. I enjoyed doing this interview, and I hope you enjoy reading it.

Without further ado, I present to you, Pierre Dzoncy.

Q) Hi Pierre, how are you?
A) Howdy, I'm really fine! And you?

Q) I'm good. Thanks for taking time to do this interview. So let's get to it. What’s your name, how old are you and where are you from IRL?
A) Pleasure is on my side. Well my real first name is Thomas and I'm 25 years old. I'm from city in NE Poland - Białystok.

Q) Ah. What's the weather like in Poland right now?
A) Winter. Cold. White bears. Oh noes, we are losing contact... groar... "Mayday, Mayday!" .... "blink". OK, I was just joking it's only -5'C today in here.

Q) LOL. So you guys are getting hit with an ice age like the rest of us. Good. You're a pretty well-known guy on eRepublik. Why have you chosen wee eIreland as your home?
A) Well, it's for sure interesting here recently. I like the spirit people have in eIreland. Plus the main thing - I’m needed here. When adding good MU, which Cromega is, my time here is just great.

Q) What do you plan on doing while you're here?
A) Help in improving things, specially in MoFA. There are many things I would like to add into the normal way of work in here and they are starting day by day. This way Irish community might get on its best to get population, maybe not rising, but for sure much better organized. Plus main thing is that: it's not something big to gain some diplomatic success with Poland for example, any success in Ireland - which is smaller - has better taste.

Q) Well I hope we get to see some progress from the ideas you have for eIreland. Speaking of which. You've been CP 5 times on eRepublik, so I think it's safe to say you have some experience. What's your opinion on the eIrish alliance situation?
A) We should say it straight. For example on CRO-ESP-PL point of view. They don’t want to make a big alliance. In my opinion of maybe 6-8 countries. And all those countries have some friends. Poland have ABC, Spain have ROLA, Croatia have Albania, BiH, Italy and Ireland. Ireland is not big, so in the beginning there is no chance for being core member. On other hand we have Serbia but as we can see what happens when this path is chosen, on example of Canada it's not any better. So the thing is to be wise, stay in friendly relations with all our true friends and not think in typical alliances in past point of view. Maybe someday we will reach level on which we will be able to become a country with higher status - but for sure not now and not by arguing with our friends when having other opinions. Personaly, I think CRO-ESP-PL path is the smartest.

Q) Even though eCroatia has shown a lot of disrespect and indifference towards us lately?
A) Well, all sides were saying too much bad things. Ireland got mad cause UK gained core status, and we wanted the same. After refusal some people simply got ragequit. Politics can't be made under emotions, not in diplomacy.

Q) Fair enough. Let's get back to a lighter topic. What makes eRepublik fun for you? What keeps you signing in after all these years?
A) Well, admins actually. Month or two ago I've wrote ticket to delete my ACC. It's still pending. And as I've heard people were doing so even two years ago and their ACC still exist.😁

Q) LOL oh wow.. let's hope they don't randomly get around to it before you're done accomplishing what you want to here. How long do you plan on sticking around on eRepublik for?
A) I don't know. It's addicting. On IRC for sure for years. Community in this game is awkward.

Q) Why do you say that?
A) Cause in game you can win battle. Wars are won on IRC. That's the fact with which no one can argue. (OK, sometimes maybe on skype thou) Admins for sure hate it, but even they realize it.

Q) True. Let's wrap this interview up with a rapid fire question time. 🙂 Ready?
A) Sure. Go on. Switches to: ON

Q) What's your favourite football team?
A) My local team - Jagiellonia Białystok. It's playing in Polish First Division - called Ekstraklasa. From foreign clubs. Hmmm... hard question. I think I like Glasgow Celtic.

Q) Good choice. 🙂 'Mon Celtic. Favourite football player?
A) Well, when I was kid it was for sure Marek Citko - guy who managed to score at Wembley on one of his first matches when he was really young. But now I think that my favourite football player which is playing actually is Jakub Błaszczykowski from Borussia Dortmund.

Q) Another good choice. Dog person or cat person?
A) Well I had two cats, now I have a dog. All animals are great in their own specific way. But as dogs love people which take care of them, and cats just loves the place. I think dogs are better.

Q) Favourite movie?
A) Scarface and The Godfather, Al Pacino was great in them - so he is my favorite actor. But my favourite movie is A Bridge Too Far. Maybe Lawrence from Arabia, too.

Q) Favourite band?
A) Band... hard question. There are a lot of which I like to listen, but there is no which I can say I'm fan of. But... I like different types of metal, rock, sometimes some other types of music like european hip hop, and ending on some electronics like for example Depeche Mode xD. And those last I think got their music sound made like some kind of art. So I can actually call them my favorite.

Q) What's your favourite, beer or liquor? What kind?
A) Beer. I like small breweries making dark beer for example like Polish Ciechan, etc. From more known for sure the best is Guinness. But in the end good beers are made in Czech Rep. too. German Beck is alright too.

Q) Good choices. What's your favourite season of the year?
A) Spring. April-May.

Q) What's one place you want to visit the most in your lifetime?
A) Kremlin in Moscow. And occupy it this time for longer than two years.😁 Just joking. Serious answer would be California I think.

Q) And lastly, do you have anything you want people to know about you?
A) Question is if people want to know something more about me. And I think we should leave it as the answer to this question.

Thank you again for sitting down for this interview. Have a good night, and good luck with your plans to help eIreland.
It is me to thank you for such good questions. I hope that you had great time during this interview and I wish you will continue work like that. o/
