[RB] Election Results and Activity

Day 2,249, 11:13 Published in Ireland Cuba by Master Peaux

Now that the multi's have been discounted, and the PP results are official, I'd like to examine and share each party's results. I'll include total party members, along with total number of votes to give an idea of the amount of activity from each party in eIreland. We'll be going from largest party to smallest.

1. Independent Labour Party

Numbers of members: 56
Numbers of voters: 43
Summary: The race for PP of the ILP was a close one. With Raven Anarcho and Krakken going neck and neck all election day, Raven edged out Krakken by 4 votes. The ILP was fairly active in their party election, but with 13 members not voting, there's plenty of room for improvements, and it could have turned the election in the favour of Krakken.

Congratulations Raven Anarcho!

2. Eire Aonair

Number of members: 52
Number of voters: 28
Summary: Eire Aonair's election results were fairly one-sided. Don Croata received 75% of the votes while Daniel.Plainview only got 25%. But with only 28 voters out of a total of 52 members, there is a lot of room for improvement.

Congratulations Don Croata!

3. Irish Freedom Party

Number of members: 32
Numbers of voters: 19
Summary: This was a hard fought election with only one vote separating three candidates. Don Gomar barely beat out CuFaoil and IrishGawain to win but with only 19 votes out of 32 members, those missing votes could have drastically changed the complexion of this party's elections.

Congratulations Don Gomar!

4. The Left Hand of Ireland

Number of members: 25
Number of voters: 15
Summary: Mary Robinson got the majority of the votes against MrGreens and won easily. But again, with 10 votes not being cast, there is room for improvement.

Congratulations Mary Robinson!

5. Society of United Irishmen

Number of members: 21
Number of voters: 9
Summary: Brian Boru won the PP of the Society of United Irishmen without much competition from The Republics Assassin. Over half of SoUI's members were inactive for the election and didn't cast a vote.

Congratulations Brian Boru!

6. Independent Voices

Number of members: 18
Number of voters: 10
Summary: Paddy O'Brien beat out Mirek12345 and new up-and-comer Trito Fisher with 60% of the votes. Again, nearly half of a party didn't vote and is inactive, votes that had a chance to change the winner of the election.

Congratulations Paddy O'Brien!

7. Irish Military Party

Number of members: 6
Number of voters: 1
Summary: Mick St John was the only candidate, and I'm gonna take a wild guess here, the only voter.

Congratulations Mick St John!

8. Krakkers

Number of members: 3
Number of voters: 4
Summary: Coyolxauhqui V beat out Ian Passmore by 2 votes. Since there were 4 votes and only 3 members, I can only speculate that someone joined, voted, and left, or a member randomly left earlier this morning. Either way, this party was the most active with over 100% of the members voting.

Congratulations Coyolxauhqui V!

It's pretty clear that eIreland can improve it's activity overall, and try to keep it's younger members involved and in the game. Hopefully each new Party President will work towards this cause and bring about a more active, and in-turn, powerful eIreland.

To those who didn't win, I hope to see you all remain active and try again next term. Good luck to everyone in the upcoming congress election. o/
