I feel as a CP hopeful and a campaigner for Asgarde and Pro-EDEN relations that we flip the coin and have a look at the darkside. That being changing our stack of MPP's completly joining CoT.
Downside
It could cause a possible rift in our country military wise as many soldiers wouldn't give there all for ex-enemies against ex-allied nations.
It would take months to overcome this rift if it could be overcome at all.
We would be turning our backs on many allied nations that we consider friends that are currently under occupation.
Becoming unfriendly with Ireland and there pitbulls with a deep pocketbook.
Upside
Better relations with USA joining an alliance that there affiliated with. Possible option of negotiation for Region swap of Alaska if my MoFa sux good u know what.
Better relations with superpowers of Poland and Spain possibly opening up options towards Portugal and France to expansion while shutting the door on yearly wipes. Azores has always been considered a good launching pad if you can hold it.
Joining an alliance of strength and stability. Being next to USA we could always sleep at night and always consider ourselves taken care of.
Closing
I'll be candid and honest here. I can see many military oppurtunities here if were willing to shrug our shoulders and turn our backs on old allies. Many of whom have been fighting for independece for over a year now. Strategicly and militarily CoT is the better option.
As I have said I'm still a supporter of pro EDEN relations and the joining of Asgarde. Although our options are many no matter what we do and going the untraditional route opens many doors as it closes windows.
I want to be in a small alliance that focuses on one thing. You F@ck with one of us you F@ck with all of us.
Were to small to ever be considered anything but support and I'd rather be in a small alliance that appreciates what we can do. Instead of never being a priority and left to our own devices in a large alliance.
After EDEN falls apart the next big pro EDEN allaince will be ASIA based. If taiwan can beat USA who knows what the future holds.
As an elected CP I guarentee to solve the alliance issue this country currently faces while making sure we leave ourselves in the best possible situation moving forward.
If CoT is chosen I'll look for every benefit that the alliance can give us as much as I would if Asgarde was chosen. This is after all a strategy game and as my job as your hopeful CP is wanting to make the best of any situation.

Well things are changing in this eWorld, and as a strategy game, our best option is to be in this ''changing mood'' rather than look as the whole eWorld taking their own side.

Why do you think USA Will have your back forever? They left you once Will you keep following them? Ask yourself what will they be wanting to get in return? Being part of a big alliance, you cant always get help so most of the time you are on your own. It is a very instable country and as you know in this game as a country you need to be somewhat independent.
I don't know where the Azores will lead too since most that border it at Cot/TWO aligned.
Guyana is Spain atm but Venezuea original. Both CoT/TWO

Captured Portuguise regions which is Spain ATM
Brazil with is CoT/TWO
So with Azore not really going anywhere lol
