OTALP’S ALLEGORY OF THE ROOM

Imagine a room that is linked with the outside world only through a door and hallway. The hallway is long and there aren’t any windows in it. Also the window of the room is covert with shut blinds. In that room sits a man with his back to the window. His only view is the computer screen in front of him. He is a prisoner from his computer screen. He doesn’t know better. All his live he has been put in front of a screen.

His only view on the world is what popping up on that screen.
Imagine that because of some great storm the blinds got torn from the window and our man suddenly sees there is a whole world outside his room. All the things that exits on his screen exits on the outside. Say he is curious by nature and he goes outside. There he finds out that there is more in the world then that he could have imagined but then he gets himself in all sort of dangers He gets scared and locks himself back in to his room in front of his computer screen. The only way that doesn’t happen if someone gives guidance to this man so he can learn. It will take a long time.
This is kind of exaggerated but this could be the live from a really dedicated eRepublik player.

So what do we learn from this folks? The only way to take your life back is a long hard learning process. eRepublik is make-believe, it is not real. Let someone take your hand and take you outside to explore the world without fear. Then when you have learned about the big world outside, come back and have fun in the new world!
